For the people who did this, that description goes without saying of course:

Israel hunted for the perpetrators of a grisly murder of a family of five in a remote West Bank settlement Saturday, appealing for help from the Palestinian Authority, which sent security forces to join the manhunt.

The knife attack, which killed two young children, a baby and their parents as they slept, was the deadliest in years.

But I was describing the residents of Rafah who did this:

Gaza residents from the southern city of Rafah hit the streets Saturday to celebrate the terror attack in the West Bank settlement of Itamar where five family members were murdered in their sleep, including three children.

Residents handed out candy and sweets, one resident saying the joy “is a natural response to the harm settlers inflict on the Palestinian residents in the West Bank.”

No actually it is the natural reaction of murderous uncivilized barbarians who are only alive because the Jewish settlers who they claim are harming them are not anything like them. If they were then there would not be a “Palestinian” alive in the west bank.

Let’s say it publicly. You can’t make peace with barbarians, you can kill them, you can remove them, or you can contain them. Israel has chosen to contain them.

If congress is looking to de-fund things lets start with the Palestinians.

The people of Japan are tough people

Any person who fought against them or is the son of a person who fought against them can tell you that so don’t think for a minute that a nation that could bounce back from the destruction of world war 2 aren’t certainly going to bounce back from this. Anyone predicting otherwise just doesn’t know the Japanese people.

I’m relieved to hear my friend Yushin and his family are safe but there are a lot of people who are going to need a lot of aid. Rather than re-inventing the wheel I suggest Catholic Relief services per the Anchoress or the Red Cross per Stacy. Be aware that many really nasty people are going to shortly be putting up scam sites and sending out scam e-mails to take your money pretending to be helping. Don’t fall for it. Just give to the mainline groups that I mentioned and you will be fine.

I also think Stacy’s other advice concerning the story is first rate:

My advice: Get some sleep. And when you wake up Sunday morning, go to Denny’s and have their Grand Slam breakfast while reading the local newspaper. Then go back home and drink a couple brews while watching a basketball game on TV. At that point, you can then safely log back onto the Internet and try to figure out what actually happened Saturday.

I would suggest the 5th street Diner in Fitchburg instead of Denny’s. For the beer try either the Nashoba Club Restaurant In Ayer, The Border Grille and Bar in Leominster, Linguini’s Italian eatery in Marlborough or Central Plaza Pizza in Townsend but other than that hes’ right.

I’m not even going to try to cover this event. The info is constantly changing and we simply don’t know what is going on in detail nor shall we. I say let the people who know what their doing do it, give what help we can and stay out of the way otherwise. The best help we can give is donation and letting our carries groups that can generate tons of drinking water from salt water go to work.

As for those trying to use this for political gain, or to push agendas. I have no use for them. This quake has as much connection to Global Warming as it does to the end time. Namely none.

Update: The Media superstars don’t take Stacy’s advice and Miss Attila notices that Stacy has an affinity for hits, the shock is just too much for me.

I’m in the minority: The Minority Report that is…

Today I begin my first day as a regular blogger at The Minority Report.

I will generally be blogging on Business and Tech issues but you may see the occasional interview online as well.

Today’s post Killing the small business in the cradle is on small businessmen and the effect of a new law in Illinois on their well-being:

As regular readers of my blog know, I spend a lot of time going door to door talking to business people in order to sell ads for my radio show (DaTechGuy on DaRadio Saturday Mornings 10 a.m. on WCRN AM 830 BTW).

With the economy in trouble nationwide and jobs scarce to come by, many people (including me) have decided to go into business for themselves. Just yesterday I met a lady at a cleaners shop in Acton who is painting silk scarfs as a new business while she looks for other work.

Small Entrepreneurs usually have it tough. One or two person operations put in an inordinate amount of labor to make a small amount of money (if any). In addition they have to follow all the governmental rules that are put before them as they attempt to get started….
