There is an old saying that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
So you would think a person who studies history, writes about history and makes historical documentaries (The Civil War is likely the greatest piece of work of it’s type although it couldn’t be made today as it does not rewrite history at the left’s pleasure) might not be too quick to play the “Holocaust” card on flying illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.
Seriously? You’ve just made a documentary on the US’ response to the Holocaust and you compare the murder six million and the attempt to erase an ancient people from history with flying illegals to the one of the wealthiest parts of a sanctuary state?
The Democratic Party is trying very hard to make sure they lose the upcoming midterm elections. Unfortunately for the United States, Republicans are working just as hard to lose.
The midterm elections should be an overwhelming victory for the Republican Party. The American people are truly suffering because of rampant inflation caused by Democrat’s economic policies. Gas prices have nearly doubled thanks to the stealth Green New Deal enacted by the Democrats.
Culturally the Democrat party is widely out of step with the American people. Just look at what the Democrats stand for, transgenderism, abortion, intolerance for the American Founding Principles, and so much more.
With just under two months to go, the polls are a bit disconcerting. This is bad news for Republicans, and most importantly, bad news for the American people. The fault lies with the Republican party, as you can see from this Brietbart article.
Unfortunately for Republicans, most voters — 56.1 percent — said Republicans have not made a strong enough case to warrant their support. Just one-third, 33.9 percent, said they have, and ten percent remain unsure.
Predictably, 87.1 percent of Democrats said the GOP has not done enough to make a strong case for their support, but a smaller majority of Republicans, 61.1 percent, said they have made a sufficient case, compared to 25.9 percent of Republicans who disagree.
Perhaps most concerning for the GOP is the fact that 57.2 percent of independents agree that Republicans have not done enough to make their case as the midterm elections approach. Just 28 percent of independents say Republicans have made their case, and 14.8 percent remain unsure.
What are the Republicans actually doing when they should be making their case to the American people? Check out this Politico article.
Mitch McConnell is among the myriad Republicans questioning the Senate GOP’s quality of candidates in the midterms. Rick Scott wants everyone to stop doubting his recruits.
“Sen. McConnell and I clearly have a strategic disagreement here … We have great candidates,” the National Republican Senatorial Committee chair said in an interview Wednesday. “He wants to do the same thing I want to do: I want to get a majority. And I think it’s important that we’re all cheerleaders for our candidates.”
Republican Senators are now focusing on issues that will turn off independents and fence sitters, who are needed to ensure a Republican victory.
Just yesterday, Sen. Marco Rubio submitted a bill to prohibit protestors from blocking interstate highways.
While in itself, this bill is needed at some point, other things are needed much earlier. Like now.
This is the second time in as many days that a denizen of Congress (Sen. Lindsey Graham) came up with a bill that is far less pressing compared with the other far more dangerous issues we face.
Banning late-term abortions is not on the radar of most Americans in this very dangerous time of malignant inflation and cultural collapse.
I applaud both efforts, however, the timing for these bills is far from ideal, and of questionable constitutionality.
If the Republicans want to win the midterm elections, they immediately need to take lessons from Governor Ron DeSantis.
“We’ll hold Biden accountable,” DeSantis told guest host Raymond Arroyo. “This is a referendum on his failures, make sure everybody knows how his policies have contributed to the mess we’re in, and then articulate what you will do to address things like the border, like crime, like inflation. I think if you do that, I think Republicans are going to win both chambers. And I think it’ll be a really good night.”
apparently activist groups believe that deep blue states like Massachusetts & Illinois and NY not to mention DC are too much of a shithole to stick illegal immigrants in so they prefer they remain in red states like Texas & Florida where life is better
Think about it for a second. If “immigrant activist” groups thought that places like DC or cities like Chicago and NYC and other places run where the Democrats have huge majorities were so wonderful they would be cheering that illegal immigrants (what they call ‘migrants’) would be settling there for a good life.
Instead they are angry and upset that the Governor of Florida or the Governor of Texas would send them there.
Apparently these activists believe that those Red States offer a higher quality of life and a better potential for these poor souls than the blue states do and given blue states attempts to turn said states into crime ridden hellholes I suspect these activists are right.
If I was DeSantis or Abbot I’d be making this point very loudly, frankly I’m surprised Christina Pushaw hasn’t yet
Well I suppose he is dangerous to the Biden Administration in the sense that despite the loss of millions in business by places like Bed Bath and Beyond (now folding like a cheap suit) ridicule and attacks he steadfastly refuses to compromise on his opinion (which I share) that the last election was stolen and continues to produce evidence to support said claim.
That’s the thing about devout Christians, they have an affinity to the truth and they tend to not abandon it even when the emperor siccs their lions on them.
However there are apparently some things that the FBI totally approves of: Headline:
Wait — the Steele Dossier’s discredited source became a paid FBI informant?
There must be an explanation for this plot twist, which appears to have come right out of a James Bond film. Maybe Casino Royale … the David Niven version, not the straightforward Daniel Craig reboot. According to a court filing from John Durham, the FBI turned Steele dossier source Igor Danchenko into a paid informant.
Well after all he was willing to spread falsehood in order to aid and abet the left’s political ambitions. If that’s not worth a paycheck to the FBI I’d like to know what is?
Prediction: In my lifetime we will see FBI agents and bureaucrats who are taking part in and/or enabling the Biden Administrations efforts to intimidate their political foes & the citizens who support said foes will be sitting in a witness chair arguing:
I was only following orders!
Rather disgusting.
While that Russian apparently did OK a lot of Russians are not doing so well in Ukraine as a counter offensive seems to be gaining ground to the point where some are wondering if they should push into Russia proper and risk overextending their lines of supply.
For the record assuming these reports are correct I’d go deep enough to neutralize logistic centers that the Russians would need for any counteroffensive
In theory the Russians have the power to bring and use overwhelming force if they so choose (although it would take time to raise an deploy said force) against Ukraine, what the real question is, do they have the will?
And the bigger question is this. If this results in the fall of Putin, what replaces him?
Yesterday when I got to the warehouse where I work I was surprised to see metal detectors had been installed and that we from now on we will have to pass through them to enter.
I asked the chief of security who was there for the first day of them why, he said the company’s new owners decided on it. He suggested that given what’s been going on in the country it’s better to get ahead of such things.
Well considering that the new owners have stores and such in blue states and cities that have seen first hand what Democrat rule does and that I work in a deep blue state that is likely to replace a moderate Nevertrump republican with a radical democrat and put a DA who will do their best to turn Massachusetts into California in charge I’d say it might be prudent to be prepared for what is going to come.
Finally General Don Bolduc has won the GOP primary in NH to challenge Maggie Hassan for the US senate:
I interviewed General Bolduc at the Carenet dinner in NH last year it’s available both on Youtube
I really think this election in NH will determine if that state can be saved. If Hassan can win in this environment over a vet who has served in combat than any Massachusetts conservative who wants out of the state before it becomes California had better head to Montana, Wyoming or somewhere south, heat and bugs be damned.
Given his outspoken support for President Trump I’m sure he can expect an FBI raid any day now.
