This is a perfect example of Chesterton’s fence analogy about what the loss of Christianity as a base to a society creates.
When people tell you who they are believe it
I no longer think that the fellow who quipped that women might look back and say “this is the moment when we lost the right to vote” was joking.
If I wanted to promote Islam and suggest that women deserved to be treated as 2nd class citizens, I’d play this on a loop for people.
It took only three generations of prayer being gone from schools & “Similarly I will not give to a woman a pessary to cause abortion.” from the Hippocratic Oath to reach this point
