We keep hearing from the left and NeverTrump that their only concern is to remove Trump because he is a corrupt, vulgar man doing unconstitutional things etc etc etc

However despite this public claim there has been a noticeable shift to Mike Pence in their attacks, particularly by the media/cultural left. There two likely reasons for this.

  1. Unlike POTUS it is not Pence’s nature to fight back in the same way as President Trump does. Trump is a street fighter who has no problem trolling and as his predecessor once said “hitting back twice as hard”. So instead of attacks or tweets that are absorbed by millions and can’t be ignored Pence’s counters if he gives any, are those of traditional pols which can be safely ignored, thus establishing a narrative.
  2. If this impeachment move against Trump works (which is highly dubious although there seem to be plenty of suckers on twitter etc who think it will, that would still leave Mike Pence in the Whitehouse ready to take his share of credit for the economy, the foreign successes and more than willing to put faithful Christians on the court.

Thus any attempted take down of Donald Trump is useless to them unless it also takes down Pence. So much for the whole “protecting the constitution” bit

Granted all of this is fantasy land but if you are going to go for it in the hopes of winning in 2020, this is what you have to do.

The sudden appearance of Hillary Clinton on the political scene coupled with the latest verse of the Trump Song latest failed Trump hit that boomeranged onto Joe Biden has led some to speculate that Hillary is considering a late entry into the election 2020 race.

While I must confess this is the type of dream scenario for the GOP that would akin to Lynda Carter suddenly deciding that she simply can’t live another day without me there is an actual thing to watch for to decide if this has a basis in reality of if the GOP will wake up and find yourself with the less entertaining prospect of being perfectly happy in destroying the current Democrat field in 2020.

You see if Hillary is just trying to bait people and perhaps cause folks with power and influence to think she’s coming back in, she would do what she’s doing and hope that enough people decide it is worth throwing a few tens of thousands the way of the Clinton foundation as a cheap form of insurance.

But with Bernie on the ropes due to heart issues and Biden being hit by the latest attempt to target Trump the person left in the race that would have to be taken out for Hillary to have a clear field is Elizabeth Warren.

So keep an eye out over the next few weeks to see if any kids of “surprise” news comes out concerning the Senator form Massachusetts of if yet another attempted attack on Trump happens to backfire on Elizabeth Warren particularly if the source is known to be Clinton friendly.

Because if any of that happens, odds are she’s in.

Watching all the impeachment talk from the MSM is an awful lot like listening to sports talk radio. It’s all about getting people riled up over nothing and the opinions expressed have nothing to do with the actual reality on the field. Or to put it another way, the media/left are like the radio talk show hosts whose primary purpose is to draw an audience to the station, Trump’s team is all about winning the actual game.

Speaking of sports talk radio, Everyone on it keeps going on about how the Red Sox are in trouble and how the signings of Sale, Eovaldi and Price will destroy us next year. I’m sorry but not only are the odds of all three of them getting hurt again rather small but frankly we’ve already won two World Series THIS DECADE! Tell this tale of woe to the kids who were born after 1995 and never knew the days of the curse as I did for 30+ years. Don’t expect me to get angry after two decades of glory.

Noticed that there is some trouble over the use of racial epithets concerning a WNBA playoff game. Actually I didn’t notice it but ESPN for some reason during lunch on thursday was talking about it. They also were lamenting that the WNBA gets less pay etc…

Tell you what WNBA when you start filling stadiums and cause people to be actually interested in the product you produce instead of being a wholly subsidized woke component of the NBA meant to keep SJW’s happy then you can start whining about money. Frankly I wouldn’t have even noticed your issues if it hadn’t been forced on me.

Was looking at the NFL power ranking and noticed that the Patriots are still ranked above the chiefs.

Not withstanding the great performance of the Pat’s defense, given the performance of New England’s offense vs the Chief’s coming back to win I’d a little shocked. If the chiefs do that again I can’t see NE being ranked above them on the power ranking, particularly since the Patriots are playing one of the worst teams in the league this week.

Had a chance to watch the 8th inning of the Brewers vs Washington game on youtube (was working so couldn’t watch it live) A hit batsman, a broken bat blooper a walk and a misplayed single, all against one of the best relievers in the game turned a certain Brewers victory into a Washington triumph, but even so the Brew Crew had a chance to tie the game because in baseball you always get your shot.

Don’t tell me games where you kneel down to run out a clock, or pull a goal tender or throw the bench out there for garbage time are better than that.

Yes I’m running yet ANOTHER Dynasty baseball league, this one face to face staring Oct 19th in Fitchburg at Zeda’s Pizza. Games are scheduled for 1 pm and visitors and folks interesting in learning the game are more than welcome to show up. Here is the schedule.

And Yes I KNOW there are a lot of things going on with the Bs impeachment stuff and North Korea and Hong Kong and the Democrats and elections and the Vatican and even demons etc etc etc, but there is more to life than that stuff and I intend to enjoy it.

NOTE:  Any Divisional or playoff tiebreaker is played on the 1st day unless there is a make-up game scheduled on that day that could affect the playoff picture.  In that case said makeup game is played on day one as a day game and any tiebreaker is played on day two also as a day game.

If no division winner makes it to the world series the team that played the Division winner with the worst record in the previous round is team 1

Rainout rules.

A Rainout in game one of a series is played as a day/night double header in game 2. (day game)

A Rainout in game 2 is replayed as a day / night double headers on day 3 (Night game)

If there is an off day after game 3 a rainout on day three is played on the travel day. (Day game) This is ALWAYS the 1st choice

If there is no travel day after the series and there is another series between the same teams at the same location then the game will be made up as a day-night double header during 1st game of the next series at that location (Day game)

If there is no travel day after the series and there is

  • 1. another series between the same teams at a different location
  • AND
  • 2.. there is a travel day before or after that series

Then this game is played on that travel day It is a night game if played before the series and a day game if played after.

If there is no travel day after the series and

  • There are no further games between the opponents
  • OR
  • There is a series at a different location
  • AND
  • There is no travel day before or after that series

The game is made up at the 1st open day where neither team has no game scheduled. The game is a day game as it’s assumed at least one team will need to travel to the location of the game and one or both teams may need to travel to the location of their next game.

In all cases but the final one the game can be either played at once or during a regularly scheduled series with the opponent. If this final situation is the case and the players are playing on an off day when they are scheduled to play different opponents that week the players should do one of these three things:

  1. Once they finish their games with their scheduled opponents stay and stay and play the make up game,
  2. Arrive at Zeda an hour or so early and play the make up game then play their scheduled opponent at the normal time. If both the players and the scheduled opponents can stay late then the make up game can start at the normal time.
  3. Find a mutually agreeable time during the two week span between the scheduled series to play the game either at Zedas or at That’s Entertainment or at either players house.

Rainouts during the playoffs

A rainout on the tiebreaker is played the next day.

A rainout during the 1st two games of a playoff series is played on the travel day. It is a day game.

A rainout during the next two games of a playoff series is played on the travel day if necessary if game 3 is rained out and game four produces a winner then obviously game three does not have to be made up. it is a day game.

A rainout during game five of a playoff game is played on the 1st off day. It is a night game.

World Series Rainouts

A Rainout during game 1 or two is played on the travel day as a day game

A Rainout during games 3-5 is played on the travel game, it is a day game unless it is an elimination game, then it is a night game.

A rainout of games six or seven (or both) are played after day seven as night games.
