New Template: Democrats propose law to include National identity card:

The Democratic proposal includes increased money for border patrol and drug war agents, equipment, helicopters and unmanned drones. It would create a national ID — which is dubbed a “biometric social security card.” Though Democrats insist that it is not an ID card and can only be used for employment purposes.

Soooo old federal law (yes federal law) aliens have to have their id stuff on them at all times. New Democratic law. EVERYBODY gets to have a federal ID card with them. Apparently our democratic friends want us ALL to show our papers.

I’m sure this is a debate that democrats in congress are dying to have. Why don’t you call your senator and rep and find out what they think about it?

Every person speaking against the new Arizona law on TV should be asked…

I don’t know the demographics of their customer base, but for their sake I hope it is basically liberal activists because this will not play well with conservatives:

“For the last 16 years our headquarters have remained on Long Island where we continue to sell and distribute AriZona Iced Teas and beverages,” the company said in a statement to correct what it called “misinformation” about its origins.

The only problem? The polls show people favor the Arizona law and as you might recall last time national protests on immigration came up they backfired spectacularly. In addition conservatives are energized as never before. Might be a bad time to side against them.

They might have been better off just keeping quiet, if the country is 60-40 or 70-30 on an issue do you want your customer base from the 60-70 or the 30-40?

Your choice people.

Well this story is going to change the political landscape…

Here is the headline from the AP:

Illegal immigrants plan to leave over Ariz. law

If I’m a conservative I would trumpet this headline in every state and every county and every newspaper, I would call up every congressman and woman and ask for comment on this result. I would bring up this law in every state legislature and let the democrats try to oppose it.

If you think the public is supporting the Arizona law now, wait till they get a load of this.

Update: The Anchoress suggests the left is trying to bait us.
