Clemenza gets it

Michael: How bad do you think it’s gonna be?

Clemenza: Pretty goddam bad. Probably all the other Families will line up against us. That’s all right. These things gotta happen every five years or so, ten years. Helps to get rid of the bad blood. Been ten years since the last one. You know, you gotta stop them at the beginning. Like they should have stopped Hitler at Munich, they should never let him get away with that, they was just asking for trouble.

The Godfather 1972

One of the best commercials that I ever saw comes from my youth. It was for the Fram Oil Filters. In it a mechanic is doing expensive engine work on a car that didn’t have the oil changed regularly. The message was very simple and direct. Spend the money for an oil change and filter now or pay me later for engine work.

That’s what instantly comes to mind when I saw this story

Bragg, who is currently prosecuting the case against former President Donald Trump, did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation asking whether pro-Palestinian protestors arrested on Tuesday would be charged.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) arrested 119 protestors at Columbia on Tuesday night, along with 173 protestors at the separate City University of New York (CUNY) protest, where students occupied an administration building.

“Given his track record and the political nature of the events, I would be surprised if the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecuted the charges in a serious manner,” Cornell Law School professor William Jacobson told the DCNF. “The charges are likely to be dropped against most perpetrators, and drastically reduced for others under an agreement that would see the charges eventually expunged.”

“In New York City, unfortunately, this type of weak prosecution agenda encourages more crime,” Jacobson continued.

Alas as Professor Jacobson own blog can attest to. These actions are not confined to Columbia & New York City, Northwestern, U Chicago, Rutgers, UCLA, Brown, U Wisconsin (where students chanted “Heil Hitler” at Jewish Students are among the colleges that these mobs have occupied. At Portland State police found “improvised weapons” and Drone footage shows the mob at UCLA being trained in hand to hand combat.

As James Woods notes, these were not “spontaneous protests”

Brings to mind the pallets of bricks that oddly found themselves delivered in the path of BLM riots years ago. Robert Spencer elabortates:

Not only is it not spontaneous, it’s clearly orchestrated from outside the colleges and universities where the encampments have sprung up. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has acknowledged that “professionals” were involved in the Columbia University encampment. Another sign that this isn’t exactly a grass-roots movement is the fact that a large number of the pro-Hamas protesters have identical tents. Which well-heeled leftist bought them? We don’t know and may never know, but someone certainly appears to have done some buying in bulk.

Still, the movement needed foot soldiers. The cadres had to be recruited and indoctrinated. That has been the work of the Middle East Studies Association (MESA), the professional organization of Middle East Studies professors at colleges and universities nationwide.

Now in Red states folks like Ron DeSantis are enforcing the law, but in blue states the police didn’t start moving in until the visuals were polling bad for Democrats or when people started fighting back and leftists were getting beaten.

The administrators of many of the universities hosting these encampments have either been too fearful to act or actually sympathize with the pro-Hamas brownshirts. They allowed not just the tent occupation on a public university campus to fester, but even with evidence of brownshirts’ being trained …

… never called for any measures to clear this out until a group of Jews decided maybe “Never again” was now.

And, suddenly, Karen Bass noticed.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass vowed Wednesday to prosecute pro-Israel vigilantes who attacked the illegal “Palestine Solidarity Encampment” at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) overnight.

Beating a Jewish girl and sending her to the Hospital, No big deal. Fighting back against those who beat her when the authorities take no action? That’s beyond the pale.

What’s worse is the selective prosecutions:

And let’s be clear, too, that Governor Hairgel Newsom said nothing until yesterday, too, when so-called vigilantes decided to go where law enforcement refused to go.

This is how a high trust society is destroyed. There would have been no vigilante action if our Dear Democrat Betters like Bass, Newsom and UCLA brass had done their job. Let’s see who is really legally punished by Soros-puppet DA Gascon after the dust has settled. We saw lots of arrests after the 2020 fiery, but mostly peaceful riots but close to no convictions. Hamas brownshirts who blocked the Golden Gate bridge have had no charges filed.

The FBI is too busy with grandmas who spent ten minutes walking between velvet ropes on Jan 6 or keeping tabs on observant Catholics to be bothered when anti-Western Hamasholes shutdown taxpayer-funded university campuses.

The good folks at Citizen Free Press put it perfectly

The bottom line is selective enforcement of the law combined with allowing people to get away with violence while going after those who try to stop it will cause the former to become bolder and the latter eventually deciding going the full Popeye deciding:

The end result what happened in Israel. They took it and they took it and they took Hamas figured they could continue to strike until they finally figured they could get away with killing thousands and kidnapping hundreds without issue.

That’s when Israel finally decided: That’s all I can stands I can’t stands no more and full scale war in Gaza is the result.

That is what is coming here. As a nation we have a choice, we can enforce the laws and stop this nonsense now while the price is low, or we can allow these thugs to operate without consequences until people get killed and when that happens people are going to decide: “That’s all I can stands I can’t stands no more.”

And that’s when you discover what happens when a highly armed population reaches that point. That’s when these thugs discover what Glenn Reynolds has been saying for years, that Police exist to protect criminals from the rest of us. Or as John Wayne illustrated so well.

The biggest irony is these Jew Hating Nazi’s (because that’s what Hamas supporters are) in the same position that Hitler was when he was moved to occupy the Rhineland in 1936 and America’s Universities city and state governments are in the position of England and France who could have stopped Hitler cold if they had acted:

A German officer assigned to the Bendlerstrasse during the crisis told H. R. Knickerbocker during the Spanish Civil War: “… we knew that if the French marched, we were done. We had no fortifications, and no army to match the French. If the French had even mobilised, we should have been compelled to retire.” The general staff, the officer said, considered Hitler’s action suicidal.[62] General Heinz Guderian, a German general interviewed by French officers after the Second World War, claimed: “If you French had intervened in the Rhineland in 1936 we should have been sunk and Hitler would have fallen.”[63]

Right now if these thugs are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law with the same vigor as the Biden Administration went after the J6 folks who didn’t do a 1/10 of what these people did they can be stopped and a bloody 2nd American civil war or a modern version of the Lincoln County Wars can be avoided.

If not then one day people will write about our government and administration what William Shriver Author of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich wrote about Britain and France’s inaction during the 1936 Rhineland crisis.

in March 1936 the two Western democracies, were given their last chance to halt, without the risk of a serious war, the rise of a militarized, aggressive, totalitarian Germany and, in fact – as we have seen Hitler admitting – bring the Nazi dictator and his regime tumbling down. They let the chance slip

So what will be be America will we prosecute & stop them with little risk now or we let them continue with no consequences till we have to kill them later in a horrible Civil War later?

There is nothing that Democrats, or any other Marxists, fear more than individuals freely communicating with each other.  Leftists become apoplectic whenever they encounter someone expressing ideas that conflict with established progressive orthodoxy. They firmly believe that freedom of speech only extends to ideas they agree with, everything else they consider hate speech, which should be censored at all costs.  If you think I am exaggerating, try espousing conservative or libertarian thoughts on a college campus or on Facebook when you have liberal friends.

Leftist elites fear freedom of speech because an informed electorate cannot be controlled or hoodwinked.  Dangerous and truthful ideas such as the fact that the 2020 election was stolen from President Trump, that Covid mRNA vaccines cause dangerous blood clots, and that manmade catastrophic climate change is actually as fictional as an effective government that does not trample on everyone’s rights, must be eradicated.

Democrats know that enough Americans still treasure freedom of speech that they have to be circumspect about their efforts to silence us.  Net Neutrality under President Obama was such an effort.  Thankfully for everyone, President Trump repealed Net Neutrality.  Unfortunately for America, with just over six months left before the election, the Biden Regime resurrected this odious pile of refuse: DOC-402082A1.pdf (fcc.gov)

WASHINGTON, April 25, 2024—The Federal Communications Commission today voted to restore a national standard to ensure the internet is fast, open, and fair. Today’s decision to reclassify broadband service as a Title II telecommunications service allows the FCC to protect consumers, defend national security, and advance public safety.

Through its actions today, the Commission creates a national standard by which it can ensure that broadband internet service is treated as an essential service. Today’s vote also makes clear that the Commission will exercise its authority over broadband in a narrowly tailored fashion— without rate regulation, tariffing, or unbundling—to foster continued innovation and investment.

Of course everything in that press release is just window dressing to disguise the true purpose of this unconstitutional executive order.

With today’s vote, the Commission restores fundamental authority to provide effective oversight over broadband service providers, giving the Commission essential tools to: • Protect the Open Internet –

  • Internet service providers will again be prohibited from blocking, throttling, or engaging in paid prioritization of lawful content, restoring the rules that were upheld by the D.C. Circuit in 2016. •
  • Safeguard National Security – The Commission will have the ability to revoke the authorizations of foreign-owned entities who pose a threat to national security to operate broadband networks in the U.S. The Commission has previously exercised this authority under section 214 of the Communications Act to revoke the operating authorities of four Chinese state-owned carriers to provide voice services in the U.S. Any provider without section 214 authorization for voice services must now also cease any fixed or mobile broadband service operations in the United States. •
  • Monitor Internet Service Outages – When workers cannot telework, students cannot study, or businesses cannot market their products because their internet service is out, the FCC can now play an active role.

This Breitbart article does a fantastic job explaining the ins and outs of Biden’s Net Neutrality Executive Order.

The Democrat majority at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted on Thursday to restore the Obama-era net neutrality rules.  During President Donald Trump’s administration, then-Chairman Ajit Pai had repealed

Essentially, net neutrality regulations seek to prohibit internet service providers (ISPs), such as Comcast and Verizon, from blocking, slowing down, or allowing for “paid prioritization,” by which users can pay for faster, more consistent service.

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr told Breitbart News in an interview in April that net neutrality represents a leftist “power grab by the administrative state” and an “unlawful overreach.”

The author of this Breitbart Article offered some very insightful commentary on this unconstitutional mess.

The law of common carriage, mandated by the Title II regulations demanded by Democrats, is one of the solutions recommended by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to address tech censorship. Yet Democrats want the rule applied to service providers, which are not in the habit of kicking off internet users for their political viewpoints, while not recommending similar regulations on the companies and platforms that are actually responsible for suppressing online discourse over the past five years — companies like Google, YouTube, Twitter/X, and Facebook.

Progressives and Democrats lost their minds when the FCC repealed Net Neutrality under Trump, predicting the end of the internet as we know it, and a variety of other disasters. As Breitbart News predicted at the time, none of these doom-laden predictions came true, and in fact broadband speeds across the country improved.

Despite the doom saying by Democrats, President Trump’s repealing of Net Neutrality had a positive effect on the Internet.

Here’s what the data show. Internet speeds are up 430% since 2017 on the fixed broadband side, and they are up 647% on the mobile side. In real terms, the prices for Internet services have dropped by about 9% since the beginning of 2018, according to BLS CPI data. On the mobile broadband side alone, real prices have dropped by roughly 18% since 2017, according to BLS and industry data. And for the most popular broadband speed tiers, real prices are down 54%, and for the fastest broadband speed tiers, prices are down 55%, over the past 8 years, according to BLS and industry data.30

The FCC’s vote to restore Net Neutrality is a net loss for Americans. Net neutrality is Bidenomics for the web – an expensive government takeover of the internet that would increase costs, limit choice, and stifle innovation. Despite claims that the world would end without these burdensome internet rules, the contrary occurred. Since 2017, internet speeds have increased, prices have gone down, and consumers have more options than ever before.

“Father Shouldn’t we put a stop to it” “Aye lad we should, we should it’s our duty”

Policeman 1: [Running into station seeing big fight & massive crowd] Call up Ballinrobe tell them to send the inspector down here send reinforcements the regents. There’s a riot down here!

Policeman 2: [Picking up phone and shouting into it] Ballinrobe, Ballinrobe!

[scene changes to the fight and then returns]

Policeman 1: [On the phone] Yes inspector, thank you sir.

Policeman 2: What did he say?

Policeman 1: He said put Five Pounds on Danaher’s Nose

The Quiet Man 1952

Every now and then people make a wish, a really stupid wish and every now and then the world decides to grant that stupid wish and give said people just what they asked for.

This happened to the “protestors” at UCLA yesterday. Police had arrived in force and the “protestors” being the leftists that they are did not take kindly to their arrival.

They chanted “Pigs Go Home” and had signs up saying “Fuck UCPD” and “ACAB” (all cops are bastards) deriding the police who had arrived to restore order.

This went on for a while, and then the police decided to grant their wish and decided to withdraw…

…coincidently right at the time when a group of people, armed with pipes, upset at an attack the sent a Jewish girl, arrived.

Chris Bray describes what happened next:

For two hours. Multiple agencies responding to a mutual aid request from campus police apparently had conflicting or limited orders, with people on the campus hearing that officers were warned to avoid using force or making arrests.

It was at this point where those folks who where chanting “Pigs go home” were suddenly shocked SHOCLED and outraged at the lack of police presence to protect them.

No police? Isn’t that what those students showing “pigs go home” just a few minutes before wanted? Why aren’t they all delighted?
Where are the police? Why they “fucked off” just like you asked them to.

What we seem to have hear is a failure to communicate the redefinition of words which has become common among the left these days. When the pro-hamas anti-Semite radicals where saying:

“Pigs Go Home”

They apparently actually meant:

“Please Mr. Policeman protect us from our enemies who want revenge on us for beating up that girl”

Bray again:

They never meant “fuck the police” as a statement of principle, as any form of expression regarding their personal beliefs. It was cosplay; they were making fashionable mouth sounds, morally and intellectually empty child-noises from howling human voids gibbering mindless nonsense with absolutely nothing happening in the gob of fat they use for a brain. Empty, pathetic, worthless.

Fortunately for the Hamas crowd the Mayor, perhaps realizing that it was a crowd of Democrat voters who were now at risk instead of just Jewish girls, finally called the police giving permission to engage and within an hour things were quiet again.

It’s worth noting that once the police had removed the danger the pro-terrorist protesters faced from their attackers a familiar refrain returned to the anti-Semite encampment:

(...until our enemies come back to fight)

On the plus side the students at this place of education were given a valuable lesson about police. One of their primary duties is to protect criminals from mob justice, which can be a life saving task if you’re one of the criminals who the mob is crying for vengeance against.

Expect cries of outrage from Democrat pols who were 24 hours earlier decrying the police moving in at Columbia.

Unexpectedly of course.

For those too young to remember the great fight scene referenced at the top here it is:

Ok. You’re a campus protestor 18-22 years old and have decided that you’re going to take the victory that life’s lottery has given you, a spot in an elite university that will lead to a high paying job and now you find yourself before a judge because you’ve decided to occupy a building or hit a cop or strike some Jewish kid because he’s a jew and you’ve done it at a time when Democrats are starting to worry that these protests are hurting their electoral chances for 2024.

What do you say to the Judge?

I think there is only one thing to do, move that they be tried as juveniles.

That might seem odd, after all if a crime is heinous enough you see juveniles tired as adults but I’ve never heard of an adult (18 & older) tried as a juvenile.

But think about it for a second.

For their entire lives they’ve been told they are special. They were given trophies for just showing up. When teachers tried to enforce rules on them they ran to their parents who immediately backed them up making school kowtow. They were told they could define themselves as they wished, remake words as they wished had their lessons dumbed down and their grades inflated. And if anything bad at all happened anywhere near them grief councilors were deployed and safe spaces created so they could cope.

In short they were constantly protected from the dreadful reality that the world is not going to be at their beck and call and life might actually be a tough slog. They were in fact so protected from the realities of life that when expected that you actually had a word created “adulting” to describe the moments when they were expected to act like adults.

I mean cripes, they have taken over a building and briefly held a hostage and even after that they are demanding that Columba feed them.

So I guess it would not be much of a stretch for them to go to court and plead that they be tried like juveniles, after all they’ve been treated like a bunch of immature kids all their lives.
