On the Pledge of Allegiance the Huffington Post has (allows?) no comments

The pledge of allegiance story out of Illinois is interesting in that it reminded me of something that was said at the Marty Lamb / Jim McGovern debate two weeks ago.

Well we didn’t have the pledge of allegiance there was no American flag to me that was the major thing. That’s what Democrats, Republicans, Independents that what we all stand for is that flag, and that’s very dear to me so I was very hurt by that more than anything. It pretty much set a bad tone for me…

Apparently the league of woman voters would disagree, I find that interesting.

But even more interesting is this at the Huff Po

A Featured Article at HuffPo & NO COMMENTS & CLOSED COMMENTS

The Huffpo community is a large one, how it that there were no comments on a featured post before they were closed?

The answer is simple 10 days before an election the Liberal Huff post doesn’t dare allow its members to speak their mind on the pledge of allegiance in any forum where the American People might see it.

It will take more than closing comments to stop the big red wave.

My latest for the Examiner is Tracking the Big Red Wave:

Last week in Ma-4 I talked to A Haitian immigrant who came 32 years ago indignant that people assumed she supported the president because she is black and talking of American opportunity , while her co-worker spoke of regret for her Obama vote of 2008 opting home this election cycle. I’ve heard this a lot, but is this a local trend or a national one?

This week I traveled 1200 miles through 5 states to find out:

Yeah it’s still 10 days to go but all my data points are looking in the same direction I think the Red Wave is on its way but as Hughey says, if you slack off it might not get here, so go out knock on some doors and make some calls STAT!

Willie Geist and Mike Barnicle comment about the show’s appeal to conservatives like me

I actually didn’t get my question on camera, I asked about the appeal of the show to a conservative audience and if it makes waves at MSNBC

I actually think the audience was a bit surprised at my “outing” myself as a conservative. The Jim DeMint thing was a running gag of the night.
