The end of the line for Monk?

Speaking of Monk it looks like we won’t have Adrian Monk to kick around much longer.

Actor Tony Shalhoub says as much as he loves Adrian Monk, eight years spent portraying the obsessive-compulsive private investigator is enough for him.

All good things must come to an end but since he was always fun in character roles. (Quick Change and Galaxy Quest are two great examples) We can enjoy him elsewhere again.

Another quality Monk

Everyone has heard of USA’s series Monk staring Tony Shaloub. It is a first rate TV show and worth your time.

However a monk you might not have heard of is Ed Monk a Virginia high school teacher and playwright writer of short plays.

My oldest’s High School will be performing Monk’s play
Day 6
later this month as part of their competitive plays. I was going over the script with him and it is simply hilarious.

I would strongly suggest that if you like a good short comedy find a local high school that is preforming it and watch it. If it is performed half as good as it is written then it will be great.

Cause and effect

Effect:

San Francisco’s surveillance cameras in high-crime areas do not prevent violent crime, according to a new study by researchers at the University of California.

This would see counter intuitive but lets not forget this is San Francisco.

Cause:

Mayor Newsom began the program four years ago, but out of concern for people’s privacy, police are not allowed to monitor cameras in real time. Investigators must wait until a crime is reported before looking at footage.

Hey they voted for him, via Glenn.

I don’t care what Napoleon said there is something to say for just going to bed and getting a solid 8 hours sleep. Might as well do it when I get a chance.
