Un Oh the Jimmy Carter Walk

Posted: January 20, 2009 by datechguy in arthur vs carter

Lets hope that Obama’s decision to walk is just symbolic and not an actual reflection on the Carter vs Arthur watch.

Seriously considering the crowd and the mood it makes sense but please please PLEASE I hope its not another Jimmy Carter! Unless of course it is followed by another Ronald Reagan, preferably from Alaska.

UPDATE: Going back in the car.

I guess I was right

I said that Ted Kennedy didn’t look good I was righter than I knew.

Ailing Senator Edward Kennedy collapsed at an inaugural lunch for Democratic President Barack Obama on Tuesday and was evacuated by medical staff, apparently suffering from convulsions, a congressional aide said.

Kennedy was wheeled out of the Capitol building on a stretcher surrounded by police and taken away in an ambulance, according to a Reuters witness.

Lets hope that things work out.

Time doesn’t cure all ills apparently

I’ve always had a soft spot for the elderly particularly those of World War II age. One tends to not suspect them but remember crooks, scam artists and asses grow old just like everyone else. The passing of time doesn’t change what a person is.

This is apparently true for the angry left as they made it a point to chant against president Bush as he was introduced at the inaugural.

The election of President Obama is not going to magically change hateful angry people into gentlemen.

Althouse is not impressed.

It didn’t rate a page at Kos or Talkleft or Huffington. I’m so surprised.

Update: Chris Matthews is embarrassed, I didn’t know that was possible.

Not bad but not 2004 Red Sox

C-Span says the crowd was 1-2 million. That’s not bad but its smaller than the crowd in the rain that celebrated the Red Sox 2004 world series win.
