Billions of Dollars invested in China by the NBA and it’s players clearly affects how the league responds to outrageous actions there but supposedly Billions of dollars bet on games here in the US have ABSOLUTELY NO effect on the results of games.

When placed under oath Robby Mook contradicts every single assertion that the Media has made for years concerning the Russia probe yet no media outlet seems the least bit upset and the prospect of supposedly “being taken” for years on the subject.

Supposedly the Democrat left the whole “Black Lives Matter” business was about saving lives yet according to this data homicide rates in the black community are up 50% since this entire enterprise began.

Sending 40 Billion dollars to help defend Ukraine shows support for Ukraine, but sending 40 Billion dollars to Ukraine and having an Inspector General make sure the money actually goes to defending Ukraine is shows you oppose defending Ukraine.

For the last 20 years I never heard a public service ad advising people for the signs of aneurisms, but since those totally safe vaccines that absolutely aren’t causing unexpected deaths my radio is suddenly regularly playing ads warning about the early signs of this, all sponsored by the maker of the COVID vaccine.

You might recall a while back I did an interview with a young woman from Iraq who told me her story of live there, fleeing the country and coming to America and what it meant to her.

Yesterday I attended her college graduation in Worcester. Her class was a cacophony of people, a majority were woman and people of color

Now bad for a land of inequality and oppression eh? Of course I suspect if you tried to make that argument to Hanna she wouldn’t buy it.

From refugee in fear of her life and oppressed because of her sex and religion to college grad in the US.

Here is the base interview from 2018

Her graduation is not a bad ending for that story but of course the story of this young lady is just beginning.

Postscript: Speaking of happy ending when I got home from the Graduation guess what I found at my house:

Happy Birthday to Me

Maybe that’s why DaWife wanted me out of the house on my Birthday. So two happy endings in one day!

One of the great things about being in the Navy is the chance to interact with people from all over the United States, and even the world. It’s diversity in its truest form. I’ve met someone from every single state, almost every territory and plenty of immigrants from countries in every continent and heck, I’ve even met people that traveled to Antarctica.

I’m quite proud that I never wasted these opportunities to learn about the background of the Sailors around me. It’s how I learned about the real difficulties my African-American Sailors faced growing up, or the difficulties for Sailors from the backwoods portions of America. I particularly remember one Sailor’s response to my question “Why did you join the Navy?”

“Well Sir, it was either that or working at a gas station my whole life.”

For many people, the Navy is there chance to get out of a bad circumstance. Compared to most companies, the Navy is happy to pay big money to train someone with nothing but a high school degree and give them a decent paying job with good benefits. In fact, I’d say it was one of the only places that did this.

But that has changed.

Walmart is now paying truck drivers over $100K a year.

Lowes and Home Depot are paying for employees to be upskilled, without debt.

These companies and others have always had a path for people to excel. A friend of mine works in McDonalds Corporate Headquarters, but he got started as a teenager flipping burgers. The problem was not that there isn’t much opportunity, but that it wasn’t advertised all that well. Now that it is, that’s a good thing, because the more skilled our labor force, the better it is for everyone.

Except the Armed Services.

The military depends on a constant flow of young, somewhat educated young people (mostly men) to fill its ranks every year and replace the older, burned out service members that leave. The choice between the service or a life of gas station work is a real choice many Americans face every day. But if you can drive trucks for Walmart at $95K your first year, you’re making more then any non-nuclear Petty Officers in the Navy. Combined with not getting shot at in a war zone or deploying on a ship in such conditions it might make you turn to suicide, and it looks like a pretty good deal.

Even Business Insider is reporting on it now.

In the quest for manpower, my money is on Walmart, not the military.

Cause:

Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk said on Wednesday that while he voted for Democrats in the past, he will now vote for Republicans.

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican,” he tweeted.

Effect

Yesterday, Musk announced he was voting for Republicans in the next election and he’s been attacked by seemingly every leftist on Twitter since. And now Business Insider has this new scoop about an incident that happened in 2016. A SpaceX flight attendant claimed that Musk propositioned her during a massage on the airplane. She later hired an attorney and was paid $250,000 as severance.

Yeah I believe that sure I do, it’s just a coincidence that such a story comes out the day after Musk says he’s voting for the GOP.

Why would anyone believe these guys?
