Because I had to take people to the airport for 2 AM today I took yesterday off. As I never have Sunday’s off I went to my local 99’s to watch a bit of the Patriots Jets game. With under a minute in the 1st half with the Jets up 10-3 Mac Jones threw what was a pick six that would have made the game 17-3 and likely ushered in the Baily Zappe era in New England but a roughing the passer penalty on the Jets John Franklin Meyers erased said pick and Jones was able to not only manage to drive for a field goal to end the half at 10-6 but was able to lead the pats for a TD to start the 2nd half. By the start of the 4th quarter the pats were up 19-10 on their way to a 22-17 final score.

Jones should send Meyers a fruit basket as he may have single handedly saved his season.

Speaking of devastating things while I was watching the game at the 99’s the following ad played on the screen.

While it was not likely intended as such it is a devastating ad against the Democrats, An ad that reminds people of soaring gas prices (they just went up .40 in my town this week) is exactly what the Democrats don’t need playing on the most watched sporting events of the weekend.

And it didn’t cost the RNC or any conservative pacs a cent.

While I already noted that the left really would rather spend this week talking about Pelosi than the upcoming crushing defeat that the Democrats are heading for and that Don Surber wisely said he would wait till today to say anything there were some interesting exchanges on twitter where the left kept pushing the idea that people on the right aren’t worried about Paul Pelosi being assaulted. To wit:

This prompted a reply from a leftist that perfectly encapsulates what the left believes when it comes to violence.

Oh and Lt. Columbo’s questions concerning the narrative in play (two of which, the number of Hammers and Underwear are now in question) and the reason for said nutjob being at the Pelosi place not withstanding…

…nut jobs assaulting people, any people are a bad thing and I wish Mr. Pelosi a speedy and complete recovery. As for what happened, the security footage and the body cam footage from the police should clarify a lot, assuming it’s released.

Oh and for the record you only have to go back five days to see a Democrat who ran for president justifying SCOTUS justices being targeted for murder:

A lot of people took a real fit over this reply (since deleted)) to Hillary Clinton by Elon Musk.

Forgetting for a moment the speculation in the opinion piece linked, It’s worth noting that while Mrs. Clinton has 31 million followers Elon has over 113 Million, or to put it another way consider this.

If every single one of Hillary Clinton’s followers currently followed Elon Musk and then decided to unfollow him Musk would still reach over 50 million more accounts than Hillary would on twitter.

Do you really want to bait a guy with access to this many people? It can be a game changer to your narrative.

Meanwhile here is one story that all this Pelosi stuff is chasing off the front pages:

Cynthia Harris, a Democrat who ran unsuccessfully for District 6 commissioner in Orange County, which includes Orlando, provided a sworn complaint to the election crimes office, alleging left-leaning organizations have been perpetrating a scheme to encourage residents in black neighborhoods to apply for mail-in ballots and to fill out those ballots, which she said have been collected by paid canvassers, and sometimes altered, all in violation of state law.

In an interview with The Washington Times, Ms. Harris said she has video evidence of paid ballot harvesters operating in Orlando neighborhoods in both 2014 and 2017, and that the scheme has been going on for decades, continuing through the 2020 election and the 2022 primary.

Ballot harvesting, for example, was pioneered by the PRI party in Mexico, which held power for 70 years as a one-party state, having maneuvered itself into this position precisely with this practice. It was not for nothing that writer Mario Vargas Llosa called this setup “the perfect dictatorship.” Democrats, many of them with roots in the Mexican illegal alien community in California, brought this practice with them and adapted it to California’s elections — the point that real Mexican nationals are appalled. One told me that California’s politics resemble Mexico’s 40 years ago, Mexico having instituted more safeguards to prevent this rigging from happening.

In fairness of course odds are the Media would be ignoring this story completely even if this Pelosi story never existed.

The Primary Reason Why The Media is All Paul Pelosi all the Time

It’s been suggested by some rather smart people like Stephen Miller suggest they are trying to Sarah Palin this election over the Pelosi incident.

This might in fact be the case as the left doesn’t really have any better cards to play these days.

A second interesting thing has been the pushing of the official narrative of a MAGA attack over what is looking less and less like a break-in as actual reports come in.

What rather funny about that is the folks that are suggesting that any deviation from said initial narrative is an evil conspiracy theory are the same ones who were on Friday reporting on and decrying the horrible predicament of Elon Musk firing “Ligma and Johnson”

But I think there is a much different dynamic at work that trumps all of these things.

Poll after poll shows a trend to the GOP, not only in Arizona, but in Nevada, Georgia, New York, Michigan, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Washington and even Rhode Island.

As this continues they become a self fulfilling prophecy demoralizing the left (and thus increasing the number of votes that need to be stolen and thus the risk of same) and the more that said story is reported on the greater the risk of demoralizing the base becomes.

The best solution to this problem is to change the topic, the Paul Pelosi story does this.

Every minute the MSM can focus on the Pelosi story is a minute not spent covering the crashing and burning of Fetterman. Every minute covering the Pelosi story is a minute not covering Kari Lake surging or Stacy Abrams failing. Every minute covering the Pelosi story is a minute not covering the disaster that is building in New York State.

In short every minute the MSM spends covering the Pelosi story is one that they can spend ignoring the coming big red wave.

Now this story is not without danger to the left. There are already signs that the facts will make this story rather damaging to the left and their narrative but it will take several days for said facts to come out and while the left doesn’t have the power to bury a story forever that they once did, they are certainly capable of stalling the release of inconvenient facts for a week or ten days till election day is done at which time the story can become “unnewsworthy” .

Until and unless that moment comes the left will do their best to make sure this story stays alive for as much of this week as possible to keep the story of the destruction of Democrat hopes of everlasting power away from your screens.

As I contemplate my soon to be banning from Youtube for daring to say and maintain publicly that election 2022 was as Crooked as the Houston Astros last World Series title I’d like to mention one more give concerning not just the last presidential election but the next one.

You might recall that I said and still think the biggest give concerning the last election was the sudden stop of the vote count in five states at once:

The Democrat bosses in Nevada, in Michigan, in Wisconsin and in Pennsylvania each knew that they were capable of stealing their own state but each of them also knew that their own state would not be enough. What’s the point of stealing Nevada and or Wisconsin with it’s 10 electoral votes or even Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes if it just meant narrowing the margin of the Trump victory, especially if such a victory was followed by a federal investigation that could put them away for a very long time?

No each of them had to have blood on their hands so to speak. Each of them had to be sure that the other bosses necks would be on the line. Each of the had to be sure that they would be all in on the steal (and I suspect each of them had to be sure that the media and the tech giants would back them up, I would not be surprised if there was coordination with those folks during the pause in the count.) and I suspect only when they agreed to hang together rather than risk hanging repeatedly did the counts resume.

Now we all know how this ended, with state courts playing jurisdictional games and SCOTUS punting because, in my opinion nobody wanted to deal with the consequences of the truth being known, but there is one other consideration that hasn’t been touched.

Right now there is at worst there is a majority and at best a sizable minority or even a plurality of people who think the election systems are either compromised or dishonest.

That being the case what is the obvious thing to do.

Well the media/government/tech have taken steps to address this

  • They’ve labeled them “election deniers”
  • They’ve had them suspended on social media
  • They’ve had them shunned and berate

They’ve done all these things but not the obvious thing that one would do in the face of skepticism of the honestly of the election process::

Make the system transparent to demonstrate that it is clean

Now if you are running clean elections and you want to reassure the public that the elections are clean this would normally be job one and if you’re running a clean election it’s not hard:

  • You’d demonstrate a clean chain of custody of ballots
  • You’d have an open and livestreamed count
  • You’d make sure that observers to the count and the ballots from all sides were present to make sure things were clean
  • And you’d tout these steps so that all could see that the voting and the count are open, honest and clean.

These are all the type of things that you would do very publicly to demonstrate to the world that any suggestion that the results of our elections were being manipulated are hogwash.

Yet this has not been the case, you don’t see stories demonstrating the security of the ballot or the machines or all the safeguards out there. You don’t see the media or the pols touting them nor any attempt to give the skeptical voter reason to believe any fears are unfounded.

Why?

There is one obvious answer and I submit and suggest that the answer is the left/media/tech left are not doing these things because they KNOW the process in their enclaves can not stand up to any sort of scrutiny and to make the process transparent will only show the world that they’ve been cheating for a very long time.

The lack of such offers and reassurances is is a really big tell the bigger one will be fighting tooth and nail against them.

America’s worst mayor, Lori Lightfoot, will announce she is running for a second term this week

Now that New York’s Bill De Blasio has been term-limited out of office, America’s worst mayor is Lori Lightfoot of Chicago.

This week Lightfoot will announce she is running for a second term, from an unusual location, Chicago’s West Side, a largely overlooked part of the city, except in regard to violent crime. At her side, according to Fran Spielman of the Chicago Sun-Times, will be three West Side aldermen, each of them black. 

Chicago’s candidates for mayor will face off in a late February election. If none of them receives 50 percent of the vote, the two candidates who tallied the most votes face off in an April runoff.

In his most recent Chicago Way podcast, John Kass, as he interviewed former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas, spoke of racial politics, which has plagued Americas’ third-largest city for decades. “Lori Lightfoot has gone from presenting herself as an agent of change,” the former Chicago Tribune columnist remarked, “to an able practitioner and player of the race card.”

A year ago, to mark the two-year anniversary of her inauguration, her office sent invitations to reporters for one-on-one interviews with a restriction–only reporters of “color” were requested.

But Lightfoot has another joker card up her long sleeve, the gender card. Last week, in what you would think should been an opportunity to offer a message of healing and unity–kicking off Pride Month–Lightfoot is a lesbian by the way, she and Governor JB Pritzker dedicated Chicago’s AIDS Garden. It was at that event where she dismissed criticism of her turbulent three years as mayor by her opponents.

“Another day, another man who thinks he can do his job better than me,” Lightfoot said.

As America’s worst mayor, there are plenty of men–and women–residing in Chicago who can do better. 

Crime has skyrocketed since Lightfoot moved into the fifth floor of City Hall. In 2019, according to Hey Jackass, there were 603 carjackings reported in Chicago. Last year there were 1,848. In 2021, AP reported, there were 797 homicides, 299 more than in 2019. 

Apologists for Lightfoot will blame the COVID-19 epidemic, but Chicago’s lockdowns were among the nation’s most severe. Infamously, in August of 2020, on the same day Lightfoot cracked down after a large group violated her ridiculous ban on entering the expansive Lincoln Park on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront by dispatching a heavy police presence there, looters that night mowed through the city’s Loop and Magnificent Mile shopping areas downtown. Those areas were still recovering from the late May riots after the murder of George Floyd. This led to a continuing exodus from that area that includes the Gap, Disney, and Macy’s. It will take decades for Chicago to recover from what another blogger, whose name escapes me, called “the Night Chicago Died,” referencing the 1970s pop hit by Paper Lace. 

The Loop, the Magnificent Mile, and the immediate surrounding area is the driver of Chicago’s economy. The rest of the city is simply along for the ride. 

The retail departure hasn’t escaped Paul Vallas’ attention. “I used to say a number of years ago,” he said in that Kass podcast, “when I ran [for mayor] last time, that Chicago was Detroit with a thriving downtown–now I can’t even say that.”

Back to the lockdowns. Lightfoot all but sanctioned the large outdoor celebrations in Chicago after Joe Biden was declared by the media the winner of the 2020 presidential election, which occurred a few days before she issued new lockdown orders in time for Thanksgiving–on top of the others that were already in place.

I wonder if knowledge that two years later gasoline would double in price would have muted those flash mob gatherings?

To be fair, Chicago and its Cook County suburbs are burdened with a Soros-funded politician, State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, who is more of a woke social worker than a prosecutor. Lightfoot on occasion has spoken out against Foxx, but her criticism has been guarded. Foxx, a Democrat like Lightfoot, is of course best known for the special treatment she gave since-convicted race-hoaxster Jussie Smollett. Foxx deserves some blame for the fall of Chicago too, as does another wokester, Timothy C. Evans, Cook County’s chief judge.

Will Chicagoans reelect America’s worst mayor?

UPDATE June 7:

In a video that was released today, Lightfoot officially announced her reelection effort.

Yesterday, Lightfoot bizarrely attacked Kim Foxx, who she endorsed for reelection in 2020 in what should have been a tough Democratic primary for the radical prosecutor. “Given the exacting standards that the state’s attorney has for charging a case, which is proof beyond a reasonable doubt – when those charges are brought, these people are guilty,” the mayor said, but quickly adding, “and of course they’re entitled to a presumption of innocence.” Some more back story: Foxx is the former chief of staff for Toni “Taxwinkle” Preckwinkle was Lightfoot’s runoff opponent in the 2019 mayoral election–she’s a leftist too.
