James Taylor: If he starts convincing those senators, you might as well blow your brains out! This is the works! Either we’re out of business or bigger than ever before. We can’t stop at anything until we’ve smashed this yokel…

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington 1939

Yesterday I wrote about the key moment in the election and possibility the history of the republic when multiple states decided to stop counting votes for an hour in order to (in my opinion) coordinate the decision to attempt to steal the election or not.

But there is an obvious question that should come to any observer: Why now?

After all elections tend to go in cycles. In my lifetime alone we saw Lyndon Johnson absolutely pulverize Barry Goldwater (1964) only to see Nixon beat Humphrey (1968) That same Nixon won 49 states (1972) and then less than four years later Jimmy Carter was in the White House (1976). Ronald Reagan was re-elected with 49 states (1984) but his VP was ousted after only one term (1992) and eight years of Bill Clinton (92 & 96) was followed by eight years of George W Bush (2000, 04) and then eight years of Obama (08,12) which was followed by President Trump’s 1st Term (16).

Why would the political bosses take the rather loud risk to steal this election and expose their operations to national scrutiny when history shows that by 2024 or 2028 they would have power back by without having to show their hand and risk the entire operation that has kept them in clover for decades?

Several things come to mind and I’ll list them in reverse order.

  1. Consultants: One of the easiest ways to make $ in the political world is to be a “consultant” or a “media buyer” in campaigns and thus get a percentage of every dollar the rubes voters contribute to your campaign. Donald Trump bypassed a lot of consultant which means their own cycle providing booze broads and drugs was gone.
  2. Patronage: Civil service laws not withstanding the 2nd biggest power of holding the White House is patronage. Not just in appointing people to jobs within government but in the revolving door to companies that do business in and with government. For four years the Democrats and to some degree the GOP have been cut off from this flow of easy cash or had access to it severely limited. Every day they can’t give a job to some idiot nephew of a member of congress or some critical lobbyist is a day their power wains.
  3. Corporate Welfare The biggest power of holding the White House is to help funnel $ to both non-profits and business that you favor. The huge tax breaks for “Green” business are a great example but the money that was flowing to Democrat “non-profits” is a better one. Those funds meant big paycheck for a lot of gender studies, environmental studies, international studies majors whose primary job was to keep democrats elected. Without such federal funds the cycle that keeps all these people in booze and broads and drugs breaks down.
  4. Foreign $ Every day that a person who is not dependent on the financial rewards of the political world is in the White House is a day where things like the Clinton Foundation funds dry up and wither. That’s bad for the people who profit off of those foreign jobs but it’s worse for foreign governments who wish to buy favorable moves by America or be rewarded by kickbacks.
  5. Big Tech: One of the biggest advantages for the left over the last few years has been the power of big tech to censor speech the left doesn’t like (see benfords’ law for a start) A 2nd Trump terms and reforms to section 230 or even the threat of same could permanently break this influence which provides a huge advantage when both pushing issue they want advanced and killing information they want buried.
  6. Inroads with People of Color: Nothing is more dangerous to the corrupt left than the proposition that Blacks and Hispanics might believe they have a choice in the parties they support. A Donald Trump re-elected with a record level of support from these groups had the potential to break the Democrat party in a permanent way. Furthermore it’s harder to steal local elections when a 90-10 split in the ethnic vote is not assumed at the start.
  7. Judges: Thanks to the end of the filibuster President Trump has filled judicial positions at a furious rate. Their decisions have already started to go down the pike even affecting the famed 9th circuit court. If this continued for another term the left’s ability to legislate by fiat could be broken for decades or more not to mention more scrutiny to shady actions that have already taken place
  8. Investigations A 2nd Trump term meant that actual investigations of the tactics used against him would take place and moreover take place in an environment where rulings on these things are likely to be made by judges appointed by President Trump. Many of these are a direct threat to very comfortable and connected people
  9. The Potential Costs of Their Failed Attempt to Steal It Unlike election 2016 where Donald Trump came out of nowhere and a lot of the standard vote fraud machinery was not put in place (why risk federal crimes on what they thought would be a blowout election?) The machines in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Detroit and Nevada where already in place and operating. They thought they had it in the bag when the turnout & vote totals for President Trump proved to be so high as to overcome the fraud they had already committed in the race. At best that meant that their efforts would be in vain and at worst it could mean actual investigation and legislation with teeth to break them.
  10. The Rewards of Success: Almost as important as their fear of the Federal pen and the possibility of the permanent breaking of their power were the potential rewards of success in this venture. If they could openly steal the election using methods that places like the BBC and the State Department have already identified as signs of an illegitimate elections when applied elsewhere they could cement power for the party in general and themselves in particular for decades. Furthermore then knew the both the media and big tech would do all they could to allow it to happen. They would literally become the Oligarchic rulers of the richest and most powerful nation in the world. As the Devil said to Christ: “All these I shall give to you, if you will prostrate yourself and worship me” Instead of their power confined to a particular city and state it would reach across the nation and thus the world.

That’s why the die was cast. As Jim Taylor said This is the works! Either we’re out of business or bigger than ever before. They have gone all in and have put their organizations and power at stake. It’s also why I believe in the end they will resort to violence and yes even murder to prevent it’s exposure.

How we react to this will determine if we still have a republic.

Update : We’ll be discussing this on the DaTechGuy off DaRadio Livestream Podcast Friday at the special 11 AM Booming Trump economy time along with testing Twitter Censorship and a rundown of what I think will happpen, you can find the livestream at my Youtube account here.

Captain Kidd: Well Captain Barsiliano are you satisfied?

Captain Barsiliano: I still put no trust in him.

Spitfire Stevens: Well I do and enough to give him my ship as soon as it’s re-rigged

Captain Barsiliano: No man is taking a ship out of here unless he has a rope around his neck like any known pirate. All right if he wants to sail let him sail on the Scorpion as my navigator, I have need of one and at once. When he comes back with blood on his hands he can hoist his own black flag, but not before.

Against All Flags 1952

If you have to point to one single moment on election night that could turn out to be the most fateful moment, not only of election 2020 but of the history of the republic, it would be the moment when vote counting was suddenly stopped in several states, all critical, all necessary for victory and all now the subject of charges of massive fraud.

To understand why I wish to take you back to the one election Lyndon Johnson ever lost, the special Senate election of 1942 in Texas. Johnson (unlike Joe Biden) worked incredibly hard with appearances all over the state, but had also like his chief opponent Governor Pappy O’Daniel pulled a few fast ones to get what appeared to be an insurmountable lead to the point where he allowed safe districts to be reported.

That was all O’Daniel’s friends (or rather his enemies who wanted him out of the governor’s chair) needed. Suddenly “late” returns from counties in East Texas where Congressman Martin Dies, another candidate for the open Senate seat, had previously run strong with 46% of the vote with O’Daniel getting 34% and Johnson 11% and a 4th candidate Mann 9%. As Robert Caro put it on paged 738-739 of his 1st volume on Lyndon Johnson:

But Dies did not do as well as he had done earlier. He received only 82 of these “new” votes — not 46 percent but 32 percent, Johnson and Mann didn’t do as well either: Mann received 6 votes or 2 percent; Johnson did particularly badly; he received 3 of the new votes : 1 percent. O’Daniel, who had received 34 percent on the first returns, received 64 percent on these later returns.

This pattern was repeated in county after county in east Texas where O’Daniel’s “Magic Ballots” kept turning up. Johnson manged to get a few “corrected” returns from a few spots but as official returns had been sent in such things were few and far between. He contacted George Paar known as the Duke of Duval who was the power there and bluntly asked for more votes. Duval’s reported reply: “Lyndon I’ve Been to Federal Penitentiary and I’m not Going Back For You” was logical. Because the official numbers had not come from East Texas no matter how many votes he agreed to provide O’Daniel’s folks would simply create more in counties that had not yet reported. In the end his 5000 vote lead became a 1311 vote loss 175,590 to 174,279.

And that brings us to the stopping of the vote count in those critical states.

The Democrat bosses in Nevada, in Michigan, in Wisconsin and in Pennsylvania each knew that they were capable of stealing their own state but each of them also knew that their own state would not be enough. What’s the point of stealing Nevada and or Wisconsin with it’s 10 electoral votes or even Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes if it just meant narrowing the margin of the Trump victory, especially if such a victory was followed by a federal investigation that could put them away for a very long time?

No each of them had to have blood on their hands so to speak. Each of them had to be sure that the other bosses necks would be on the line. Each of the had to be sure that they would be all in on the steal (and I suspect each of them had to be sure that the media and the tech giants would back them up, I would not be surprised if there was coordination with those folks during the pause in the count.) and I suspect only when they agreed to hang together rather than risk hanging repeatedly did the counts resume.

Now if the GOP candidate had been Mitt Romney or George W Bush or Charlie Baker or any other GOP squish, this would not be a problem (of course if any of them were running those states would likely have gone blue anyways so the point would have been moot) but alas for them the GOP candidate is President Donald Trump who has no intention of backing down. As Lou Agular puts it:

We are living out the first act of The Godfather. Remember the cliffhanger. Near Christmas, like today, five Mafia families execute a coordinated attack on Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando), riddling him with bullets. In the immediate aftermath, there is a profound sense of doom. Everyone expects the Godfather to die, and all seems lost. Only he does not die. He lives to initiate a counterattack against the five families with his successor son, Michael (Al Pacino).

Donald Trump is the American Godfather.

This is going to the various state court and then to the Supreme Court (as whichever side loses at the state level will appeal) and might end up in the House as the GOP controls the legislatures of more than enough of the disputed states to send their own set of electors to the house. All of these are going to be tough on the furniture so to speak

I hate to say it and I dread the possibility but it may even end in actual blood as it’s unhealthy to convince a group of people who have been arming themselves to the teeth for over a decade that participating in the democratic process is a waste of time, particularly when sitting members of congress on the left are openly talking of blacklisting and punishing those who voted against them. If it reaches the state legislature phase I would not be shocked to see Antifa style mobs going after legislators in season and finding them selves countered by armed citizens. That’s a recipe for bloodshed which I’d not like to see but the folks who stopped those counts decided was worth risking (spoiler alert it wasn’t).

But no matter how it eventually ends badly or bloody or both the moment in history which precipitated whatever ending comes will be the one when those states decided to stop counting so the bosses could decide if they were going all in.

Note I’ll be discussing this on Friday on my livestream podcast at 11 AM EST the Twitter Gulag edition.

Update: As to why they decided to go all in, that’s here.

Update 2: We’ll be discussing this on the DaTechGuy off DaRadio Livestream Podcast Friday at the special 11 AM Booming Trump economy time along with testing Twitter Censorship and a rundown of what I think will happpen, you can find the livestream at my Youtube account here.

If you were one of those folks on twitter who followed me you would have noticed that I had a habit of not blocking trolls, or idiots, or people who swore at me, practically the only way to get blocked by me was to be an obvious bot (identical tweets to many people usually with either no icon or a picture of a pretty girl often named something like joe3882472100) or to tweet images of pornography. Even those who insulted the church instead of being blocked would go on my Perpetual Twitter Novena list so I could pray for them.

The reason for this is simple. If the left was making a stupid or weak argument in my opinion the best thing is for people to see it and then to laugh at them. For example. A few hours before I was locked out I had the following exchange with such a person:

the response to this was a rather foolish one on our leftist friends part

You see once someone states you have put out “demonstrable lies” the logical thing is to say: OK Demonstrate them. He didn’t take it very well.

Now if I had just blocked such a fellow I would not have been able to illustrate to those who follow me and him that said statement about “demonstrable lies” was blowing smoke. Instead I was able to illustrate to my followers and his that he was full of it.

And that brings us once again to twitter locking me out.

You see if people are saying something stupid, or outrageous it’s simple enough to counter such folk because such arguments are generally over the top and given the number of people on twitter there is no shortage of bright people on the other side who could do so.

BUT if people are saying things or making observations that are factual and or credible, something that the average person can understand or even something that might make you think, like the link I sent out that got me locked, then you risk a discussion that can be lost.

Now if you are a person who wants facts and truth that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all if my opinion is wrong or “demonstratively false” I’d like to know it because I believe in truth and fact.

BUT if you are a person trying to advance a false or a weak proposition such as:

Donald Trump had a historic performance among non-white voters and outperformed his previous vote share even in blue cities EXCEPT in four cities in four swing state where Joe Biden not only outperformed Trump but out preformed Barack Obama enough to swing said states.”

Then the last thing you want is anyone advancing factual or credible arguments against it, particularly arguments that are easy for people to understand.

Or to put it simply, if our leftist friends on Twitter and Facebook thought that Joe Biden’s #election2020 #magicballots in #detroit #philadelphia #atlanta & #milwaukee were legitimate as sure as the sun rises in the east they would point at such posts and simply laugh or provide evidence that could easily or credibly counter assertions to the contrary.

But

If our leftist friends on Twitter and Facebook think that Joe Biden’s #election2020 #magicballots in #detroit #philadelphia #atlanta & #milwaukee were legitimate as sure as Jeffery Epstein killed himself then they will go all out to prevent evidence or arguments which support that fact.

The question isn’t if President Trump’s team has evidence of vote fraud. He does and plenty. The question is can he provide the courts with enough such evidence that will cause the courts to prescribe remedies to counter Joe Biden’s #Magicballots . You don’t know and neither do I. This is likely going to go to the Supreme Court.

But the Hollywood / media / academic / big tech left are fighting a different fight. The standard of evidence convince the avg person is MUCH lower than the standard to convince a court and right now the circumstantial evidence is more that sufficient to convince any citizen whose religion is not politics that the fix is in.

That’s the dirty little (Not So) secret here. They’re not censoring stuff because we’re making incredible arguments or points, they’re censoring us because we’re making credible arguments and points that the average person can understand.

In other words they’re still scared because they know it’s not legit.

I’ve had my fill of Facebook and Twitter blocking friends of mine from posting there and having their accounts suspended. These two social media giants unapologetically back liberal political figures while using their might to crush conservative leaders–as well as rank-and-file supporters of the right side of the political spectrum.

The most recent victim of Twitter bumptiousness is Da Tech Guy himself, simply because he questioned the veracity of the presidential recounts in swing states. It happened today.

Meanwhile there is another social media site, Parler, where free speech is encouraged. I’m @marathonpundit there. Please follow me. While I haven’t deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts–I’ll be spending much less time there. Besides, I don’t want someone to steal my handles there.

On his show radio show Friday night Mark Levin announced his social media transition. Today on the platform he announced, “Hurry and follow me at Parler. I’m trying to encourage as many of you as possible to immediately join me there as I may not stay at Facebook or Twitter if they continue censoring me. And one day I’ll have left their platforms. Parler is a wonderful alternative and is growing, and we need you there ASAP. It believes in truly open speech. Thank you!”

In his well-deserved grilling by the US Senate last month, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey couldn’t come up with a solid answer on why he continually blocks President Trump’s Tweets about controversial COVID-19 treatments and election fraud. Meanwhile, a post from the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, questioning whether the Holocaust occurred, remains on the microblogging platform. When asked about if any other world leader, besides Trump, has had Tweets blocked, Dorsey couldn’t come up with any examples.

Twitter is a Trump-hating and a conservative-hating site. I can’t think of a single incident of a liberal–famous or not–having their posts deleted or their accounts blocked. Just last week, for instance, reputed comedian Kathy Griffin reposted on Twitter her notorious photo where she holds the bloody head of President Trump. Don’t forget, threats of violence against the president violates federal law. What would happen to my Twitter account if I posted a similar shot with Joe Biden?

It’s not just “the guy in his pajamas” Tweeting at home who gets bullied. The New York Post, America’s oldest daily newspaper and its fourth-most read, saw its Twitter account suspended for 13 days because of stories it wrote and Tweeted regarding email revelations alleging graft gleaned from Hunter Biden’s laptop. The Twitter “gods” deemed these reports unsubstantiated–even though the Biden-Harris campaign never denied the Post’s stories. Another reason given by Twitter for the Post’s suspension was its claim that the paper was publishing “hacked” information. But Hunter’s laptop was obtained legally.

Contrast that behavior with Twitter’s non-response to the New York Times’ stories on President Trump’s federal income tax returns. Those returns were possibly retrieved by hacking–and that tax information was almost certainly illegally obtained by somebody.

Facebook isn’t quite as bad as Twitter in regards to censorship but it has a shameful free speech record too. Many of my friends have ended up in “Facebook jail” for pushing the envelope a bit as they challenge the leftist dogma. I’ve never hear about liberals being tossed into “Facebook jail.” And yes, I have liberal friends.

Twitter makes money on ads, mainly thru “Promoted Posts” that appear on its feed. If I am not on Twitter, I don’t see them. Just as when my television is switched off I don’t see commercials there.

Facebook is downright creepy in its ad strategy. If I click “like” on a story for a sports team, shortly afterwards I’ll see ads on my Facebook page promoting hats and shirts for that team. A few hours after I arrived in Alaska this summer for a vacation this T-shirt ad on my FB page. “I may be in Anchorage but my heart is with the Chicago White Sox.” Does Facebook know when I use the men’s room? It gets worse. A couple of years ago–just five minutes after leaving the wake for a friend of mine–I was requested to write a review on Facebook for the funeral home that hosted the wake.

Facebook takes the predilections and overall activities of its users and essentially sells them to advertisers. In fact they are selling you to advertisers. Yep, you.

But if I’m not there, or not there very much, Facebook and Twitter will suffer. If millions of conservatives follow the same action they’s suffer a lot more.

Let’s think of social media hatred of conservatives this way. Imagine you are a member of an ethnic group that is disliked by the proprietors of the only two restaurants in town. You still eat at these places because sometimes you are hungry and you just don’t have the energy to prepare your down dinner. That is, until you find out that the cooks always spit into your sandwiches.

Ach-ptooie!

That’s what Facebook and Twitter is doing to conservatives. Spitting on them.

Over 70 million Americans voted for Donald Trump. Let’s see if Facebook and Twitter can endure angering such a large segment of America.

Patriots, it’s time to spit back.

Ach-ptooie!
