Here is the Classic Liberal’s alterations to my list per my statement Here are his corrections to my list:

Obama isn’t even done with his first term yet, so he shouldn’t be ranked at all. But he is setting himself up to be one of the worst ever.

On Thomas Jefferson … The Louisiana Purchase is considered by many to be his biggest sin (even though it worked out). It wasn’t constitutional. He did however lower taxes, pardon John Adams political prisoners, and his election was also a major victory over the Federalists (who wanted a government more like we have today). So Jefferson deserves to be towards the top.

Prior to Obama, GWB grew the size and scope of government greater than any other president in history. Therefore he belongs at the bottom of the list along with the other major progressives – T Roosevelt, Wilson, FDR, and LBJ. Lincoln was no saint either, being responsible for the death of over 600,000 Americans in his war against the south that started not over slavery, but over taxes. So these are my 6 worst presidents.

Calvin Cooldige is incredibly underrated in our history. And despite some of his problems, Andrew Jackson deserves to be among the top for his success in shutting down the central bank.

I disagree with a lot here, but that’s half the fun with these lists.

If GWB were solely to be judged on his domestic policy he would, indeed, deserve to be ranked near the bottom with the folks TheCL mentioned. Taking him all-in-all, however, the man deserves at least a middle-ranking.

Now, don’t get me started on Andrew Jackson…
