This line from Glenn Reynolds proves that Ed Driscoll is a genius:

But the big news is that the story is now big enough that they have to try to explain it away, or change the subject, instead of just ignoring it. That means we’ve reached Phase Two.

Why is this story big enough? Because the NAACP attacked the tea party causing coverage that put people on the right, including Black Tea Party members on the air mentioning it. And all those outlets that refused to report this story and pretended it didn’t exist suddenly became aware of it.

When even the Washington post is calling it a bombshell with a memeorandum thread, this is bad news for the dems. (Of course we can’t allow that so the Post has apparently changed the headline since the thread began).

The more idiots like Shelila Jackson Lee keep this story alive the more it will hurt both the NAACP and the left.

This post is spot on, I wish I wrote it.

Apparently not all that well for Think Progress for example from Conservative Generation at Left Coast Rebel:

The claims of racism in the Tea Party movement are so overblown and unsubstantiated that the best Think Progress could do to prove racism was post a video of four supposed racist Tea Partiers. Right Klik has found that of those four, two of them were not even in the Tea Parties.

Scroll down for the updates they are priceless meanwhile Confederate Yankee piles on:

Did you not think we’d remember the amusing signs your fellow liberals created for their little abortive “Crash the Tea Party” stunt in Boston? Let’s just say that some were more amusing than others, and some just showed pathetic and angry progressives often are.

There is an old saying that you’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

At Think Progress, they’re ready to make up the “facts,” yet again.

Update: Oh, Think Progress… did you really think you’d get away with it?

As a matter of fact they did, this is a religion to the left and they act accordingly.

And congratulations for their first memeorandum thread

Meanwhile over at the NAACP land of open debate a slight shift in tone:

NAACP President Ben Jealous said Thursday that the resolution passed by the group on Wednesday does not call the tea party “racist.”

The resolution the NAACP approved Wednesday at its annual conference in Kansas City, Mo., alleges that the tea party has used racial epithets against President Barack Obama and has verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress.

A portion of the resolution does indeed characterize the behavior as “racist,” but Jealous said Thursday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the resolution was not intended to condemn the entire movement as such.

“We aren’t saying that the tea party is racist,” Jealous said. “What we’re saying is that with their increasing power comes an increasing responsibility to act responsibly … and to call out when they see those things on those signs.”

Oh no not at all funny how things were reported in those olden days of yesterday

Unfortunately for Jealous, that is not what was reported on their awful resolution.
The KC Star reported:

The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

Jealous better start getting his facts straight. You can’t have it both ways, Ben.

For the record… The former civil rights group does not even have the courage to post their resolution online.

It was interesting to note that yesterday they were making the Washington accusation and today they were not, at least not on Morning Joe

Why is this not working out because they don’t want to see stories like this:

Black tea partiers rebut NAACP

Can’t be having that, once people realize that there are black conservatives out there running that the media ignores, the game is over.

Do you want to age really fast?
