Did some channel surfing to see if there was anything new on this stuff and noticed Breitbart on GMA so I’m going to switch over briefly for this.
Checking Morning Joe while they do an airline story first, Pat brings up the “no backup” from the White House business. If the story is all about the Whitehouse and the NAACP rushing to throw people out of the bus then Breitbart has won this big time.
The irony of course was they were afraid of Beck and Beck backed her up.
Joe Scarborough: “If they are afraid of the guy with the chalkboard they can we get someone else to deal with Iran because we’re screwed”
Apparently the government is suddenly backing off too
Ok back to GMA
Shirley Sherrod on GMA, She says she still backs this administration but is “dissented”, they owe her BIG for that line
She hasn’t decided if she will accept her job back. Bazinga!
Breitbart on GMA at 7:30
7:20 a.m. Back to Morning Joe Talking to Savannah the story is all about the weak and scared White House. Look at them squirm!
7:35 a.m. GMA give example of racism left and right. New Black panther on left and for right? Macaca and Washington, give me a break!
7:36 a.m. Breitbart is using this appearance with Eric Boehlert to play the double standard card and quite effectively.
7:38 a.m. Who wants to bet that this is the first time a lot of GMA people heard about the 100k offer., Boehlert says he will take Lewis over 4 videos.
7:39 a.m. Breitbart notes the audience reaction in the video when she talked about deciding how much help was to be given. Compares this to the NAACP standard on the tea party.
7:40 a.m. Breitbart has cleaned their clocks. Boehlert says it’s ok to show Breitbart’s video on the “Washington Incident”.
7:42 a.m. He cleaned their clock. Boehlert looked like a duck hit over the head. GMA now is in a position where they need to show the Breitbart videos and if they don’t he can right them on it. Bazinga!
Here is the politico story:
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said Wednesday that he will reconsider the abrupt firing of Shirley Sherrod, a Georgia-based Agriculture Department official who was the victim of a media frenzy over comments that turned out to have been distorted by video editing.
“I am of course willing and will conduct a thorough review and consider additional facts to ensure to the American people we are providing services in a fair and equitable manner,” Vilsack said in a statement e-mailed by USDA at 2:07 a.m.
And the memeorandum link
Update: here is video of Breitbart on CNN last night:
And the big government story
Update 2: Here is the video:
I challenge Eric Boehlert, re-examine the actual article. Where is the smear campaign? The only people who knowingly defamed Sherrod is the NAACP.

[…] have Breitbart on to watch him squirm, instead they do. GMA figures he will wilt when doubleteamed, he cleans their clock. and brings up double standards in information that CNN and ABC have given short […]
That racism is apparent among some in the Tea Party is backed up by the racist images and content of many signs carried at Tea Party gatherings such as:
“Obam Nomics Monkey see, Monkey spend”
Using a monkey as metaphor for a black person? What is a person of color to think? Or “Cong=Slave owner Taxpayer=Niggar” Just google teaparty racist images, they are out there for all to see…..
The NAACP has noticed this trend among SOME supporters at Tea Party gatherings and took exception to the fact that no one bothered to call the perpetrators out. No one manufactured this, in the manner that Mr. Breitbart manufactured claims of reverse racism. Mr. Breitbart talked of “glass houses”, but that analogy doesn’t fly if Mr. Breitbart MANUFACTURES the false image of reverse discrimination. The difference is factual. One is a fact for all to see, while another is edited to achieve some sort of parity.
Mr. DaTechguy, it is obvious you gain a lot of satisfaction out of this fiasco. That’s fine by me, after all it is a free country. The pleasure you seem to derive from all this is real schadenfreude. Make no mistake about it, i did not like our previous president, but there is no way in hell i wanted him or our nation to fail. That doesn’t seem to be the case with you or many conservatives out there.
So go on and egg on these professional liars such as Breitbart. You’ll make it all better by claiming that liberals do the same. But it’s not the same. Liberals do not need to lie to make a point about the conservative’s part in the demise of this country.
Who’s lieing now?
As a person who has covered tea party events in 3 several states, interviewed tea party members on and off camera in them, I have not seen what you are describing, I saw once sign in at a 2009 party that I objected to (and mentioned to the holder) but nothing like you are describing.
I’ve talked a bit about the crazy uncle syndrome in the past where in any group or family 1% are out there. In a large group that 1% is going to exist. The difference being the media and the left want to define the right by them, meanwhile ex-presidents sit with your 1% at premieres (Michael Moore)
If you followed my coverage of the ga-4 race you would also know that I experienced direct hate for being a tea party person. It is the media and their allies that made this possible, based on a lie.
As I’ve said in my post on who has been honorable, if Breitbart had the unedited video then he acted dishonorably. I suggest you check out my follow up posts.
I don’t deny I am enjoying this White House and this media and the NAACP being revealed for what they are. As for what I want, it’s simple, I want to leave a better country for my children, I believe the policies and actions of this administration have been contrary to that goal, (more through ignorance and poor ideology than design) and has fallen below even my low expectations. Thus I want to avoid his political success because those policies will prevent actual success for America. If by some miracle his stuff does work I will be very happy to be proven wrong (as I was during the Reagan years)
On the War which is my primary issue (you can repeal a law but not unlose a war) he has actually been surprisingly good, better than what I expected so far. Lousy on Israel but if his administration manages to win in Afghanistan (on better track now) Sustain our success in Iraq (so far so good) prevent the country from being attacked successfully (he has been lucky but he’s the boss so the credit is still due) And prevent a nuclear Iran (That’s where is doing poorly so far but there is still time) then on balance his administration will be a success.
Anyway this really should have been a post rather than a comment reply but since you have taken the time to visit and put a long comment I guess you deserve a long response.
It will be interesting if a Republican congress will actually make him more successful and temperate in his decisions. Of course we have to win first.
Either way thanks for stopping by, feel free to do so again and disagree anytime.
Oh and don’t forget to download that free Dr. Who episode “Rose” from Itunes before the offer ends, some things transcend politics.
Speaking of success on the war on terror he gets another one

I don’t know how much he has actually done or changed but sometimes the best move is to let people who are doing a good job alone and let them continue to do so. That actually takes some will power if you are the boss.
“In a large group that 1% is going to exist.”
-All it takes is one, and if that one isn’t repudiate (refudiated?) then that cast your organization in a bad light.

If that comment went any farther over my head there would be a dent it the ceiling
