I’m wondering if someone at Twitter in a last act of defiance will “accidently” lose all Trump’s old tweets so the account will have to start fresh. I’m sure it will be an accident.
What will be really funny will be the reactions on twitter, particularly if he’s back up before Monday.
Most Americans had great respect for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. That changed for the negative drastically during Obama Administration. President Obama had a particularly bad habit of injecting progressive politics into all levels of the Federal Government, including law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Other presidents had done this to some extent, however, Obama proved to be the undisputed grand master. The FBI became an attack dog for progressives.
President Trump tried in vain to drain the swamp. He was unsuccessful at disbanding the deep state, despite his best efforts. While Trump was in office the deep state repeatedly tried to undermine his presidency.
Conservatives and Libertarians claimed vociferously that the Deep State played a major role in the theft of the 2020 presidential election from President Trump. Confirmation of this came this past week. Check out this Newsbusters article for the details.
Zuckerbergwent onRogan’s podcast Aug. 25, and Rogan asked him about how Facebook deals with supposed “misinformation,” specifically highlighting the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. Big Tech censored the Biden scandal just before the 2020 election, an action which the Media Research Center revealed helped Big Media and Big Tech steal the 2020 election for President Joe Biden. Zuckerberg readily admitted that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had pressured his platform to censor content.
Mark Zuckerberg elaborated in great detail about what took place.
“I mean, basically the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us, [to] some folks on our team, and was like, ‘Hey, umm, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert. There was—we thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump of, of—um, uh—that’s similar to that. So just be vigilant.’”
“What we do is we have, um—if something is reported to us as potentially, um, misinformation, important misinformation— We also have a third-party fact-checking program. We don’t want to be deciding what’s true and false. And for the, I think it was, five or seven days when it was basically being, um, being determined whether it was false, um, the distribution on Facebook was decreased, but people were still allowed to share it.”
Zuckerberg then explained how Facebook suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story while the platform’s fact-checkers reviewed it. “The ranking on [Facebook’s] newsfeed was a little bit less,” Zuckerberg said. “So, fewer people saw it than would have otherwise.”
Zuckerberg then attempted to defend Facebook’s biased censorship. “We just kind of thought, hey, look, if the FBI—which, I still view as a legitimate institution in this country; it’s a very professional law enforcement — they come to us and tell us that we need to be on guard about something, then I want to take that seriously.”
Rogan inquired if the FBI had asked for censorship of the Hunter Biden scandal specifically. “Did they specifically say you needed to be on guard about that story?” asked Rogan. “No. I don’t remember if it was that specifically, but it was—it basically fit the pattern,” Zuckerberg answered evasively.
The FBI’s response to this scandal, as documented in this Political Insider article, made this disturbing scandal so much worse.
The FBI issued a statement following Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s admission that Facebook limited exposure of Hunter Biden laptop news prior to the 2020 presidential election after receiving a warning from the bureau to be on the lookout for Russian propaganda.
In their response, the agency casually admitted it “routinely notifies” companies and social media platforms about potential threats.
“The FBI routinely notifies U.S. private sector entities, including social media providers, of potential threat information, so that they can decide how to better defend against threats,”
Representative Thomas Massie was absolutely correct with this tweet:
The FBI has absolutely no constitutional authority to decide what political information Americans should or shouldn’t share.
Zuckerberg should be embarrassed to admit he’s a willing and compliant tool of the deep state.
This is a grave violation of the First Amendment, something the Biden holds in contempt. Check out this article from the Federalist as proof of that statement.
Documents Berenson obtained during the discovery phase of the lawsuit he filed against Twitter illustrate how the government actively works to shut down free speech on issues of public interest. Berenson’s criticisms of the Covid vaccines, which he claimed were ineffective and possibly harmful, came exactly at the time when the federal government, as well as many states and cities, were using every available coercive means at their disposal to force Americans to take them. As such, his speech was deemed extremist and needed to be suppressed to save lives during the pandemic.
The magnificent Debra Henie has penned a must read piece on the COVID vaccines and information that has come from studies and FOIA requests that prompts me to make a prediction.
Sometime over the next four years that media is going to pivot and start calling the COVID vaccines the Trump vaccines. When this happens that’s when you know the most damming information and/or side effects from the current crop of vaccines will be so apparent that it can’t be hidden from the public.
The Trump administration pressured the Food and Drug Administration, including former FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn,to authorize unproven treatments for Covid-19 and the first Covid-19 vaccines on an accelerated timeline, according to a report released Wednesdayby Democrats on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis.
The Democrats have little to campaign on and their latest debacle at Mar-a-Lago has not ended well for this, so it’s time to pivot on the Vaccine and blame Trump.
The Politico piece is the first shot, the sudden pivot on YouTube and the vaccines is the 2nd:
Youtube has removed the rule barring claims that vaccines do not reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19
It is my opinion that these two things happening almost at once means that the Democrat’s need a new narrative and “The Trump Vaccine is a failure” is where they are heading. This is an easy sell because the number of stories of healthy people suddenly dying have become so ubiquitous that it’s not possible to hide them .
Watch the VAERS chart suddenly become newsworthy (see DatechGuy’s laws of media outrage) and the questions start being asked publicly and watch the media do it’s best to point to Donald Trump as the source of it all.
Given the left’s love of Vaccine Mandates it will be quite a trick for them to pull it off, but if the communists from 39-41 can go from being anti-nazi, to pro-nazi anti intervention (after the non aggression pact), to all in on WW 2 (once Hitler invaded the USSR) I don’t see any problem for today’s communists going from Not taking the Trump vaccine, to mandating the vaccine, to going back to the dangers of the “Trump vaccine” in the same period of time.
Monday is the first anniversary of the fall of Kabul, the second-most ignominious event America endured in my lifetime, only the fall of Saigon was worse.
A month prior the more recent debacle, Joe Biden had this to say, “There’s going to be no circumstance where you’re going to see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.” That did happen–and of course the two black eyes for America are quite comparable.
Biden did what he, well, sort of, does best. He blamed Donald Trump for the Taliban victory. True, Biden inherited the agreement engineered by Trump–not a treaty, but an agreement–for the United States military to depart Afghanistan last year. And Biden didn’t even hold to Trump’s agreement, he postponed the withdrawal of US troops from May 1 to the ominous date of September 11. Because of the rout of the Afghan government forces by the Taliban, we were gone in late August–but after the tragic murder by terrorists of 13 members our military.
What a mess.
Who was fired after Afghanistan fell? Not the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark A. Milley (a Trump appointee), not secretary of State Anthony Blinken, not secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
As the Taliban mopped up in Afghanistan, Biden assured Americans that al Qaeda was gone from there. But a few weeks ago the leader of the terror group, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was living in Kabul. That is, until an American drone strike killed him.
Last year there was a supply-chain crisis. What member of the Biden cabinet should have been answerable for that? Pete Buttigieg, the secretary of Transportation, who we learned–only after the media came looking for him–was on paternity leave as the supply-chain crisis unfolded.
To be fair, Biden’s Treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, recently admitted she was wrong when she said last year that inflation was “transitory.” But like Buttigieg, she’s still on the job.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the Homeland Secretary, claims our southern border is secure. (Insert the Kevin Bacon Animal House“all is well” meme here.) Mayorkas is a DC swamp critter that Biden seemingly found by looking for him under rocks. Yeah, I know, Mayorkas is simply following Biden’s far-left policy of open borders. And Jennifer Granholm, leading the Department of Energy, is kowtowing to the anti-energy zealotry of the extreme left. They are still on the job too.
Trump was a great steward of the American economy and he didn’t involve America in any new wars. And as a businessman he knew sometimes people have fired, his most prominent dismissals were his secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, and James Comey, the director of the FBI. Sadly, Trump botched the appointment of Comey’s replacement by naming Christopher Wray to that post.
Last month in this space I wrote that Biden’s attorney, general, Merrick Garland, was America’s worst AG since Harry M. Daugherty, a prominent member of Warren G. Harding’s corrupt “Ohio Gang.” I was wrong. After last week’s unprecedented raid on the home of a former president, Garland, the progenitor of our politicized two-tiered justice system, is worse.
Then again, “Moderate Merrick,” like Mayorkas and Granholm, is another clerk just taking orders.
Biden, a failed president who is clearly suffering from cognitive decline, can turn things around, a little bit, with one big firing.
Himself.
His vice president, Kamala Harris, could be a slightly better president. Biden dramatically lowered the standard.
