Time lords and continuity

If you are following my advice and reading the 10 doctors you might find a continuity problem with page 5 and Time Crash.

You have to remember that there are different spots in the time line here. The events of Time Crash have already happened to the 5th doctor so he recognizes his future self, while Time crash is at least one year in the 10th doctors timeline.

What you’ve never heard of Time Crash? That is because it was a special broadcast for the annual Children in Need event in England. It was only broadcast once.

To my knowledge it is not available on DVD and I’ve never seen it broadcast on the US. If you watch it I suggest sending the charity a five spot since that it what it was for.

Found you through the wordpress trackback – hi! Any continuity problems in this with Time Crash occur because this section of the Ten Doctors strip was drawn long before Time Crash aired. Rich was ecstatic when the TC special aired and it turned out he’d gotten the relationship right. :D

    Thanks for the links!

Actually, I see continuity problem with “The 10 Doctors” and “Time Crash” at all. Since we have no idea when the 5th Doctor was drawn from his timeline, and the Doctor is able to recognize his future selves without having met them before. Add to that the fact that we don’t know how “The 10 Doctors” ends yet!

Plus “The 10 Doctors” could be taking place after The Five Doctors, thus Tegan and Turlough would be seeing everything as a past incarnation p.o.v. instead of as the current incarnation that they know and love p.o.v.

And Rich is right, the story hasn’t ended yet!
