I wrote a while back about the conflict about being Sicilian and being Catholic plays out on occasion and the more I see of the left lately the stronger that conflict becomes.

That’s when I remember the parable of the workers in the Vineyard and remember those who were hired with one hour to go in the day and a sermon that my priest gave reminding us that if we met Matthew the Tax Collector, Mary Magdalene or Saul of Tarsus the day before they encountered Christ we would not like what we saw.

We are dealing with a lot of really bad people right now but they are one encounter with Christ from change. If God’s willing to wait on them who am I not to?

One of the single hardest things about Christianity is the idea of loving your enemies, particularly when they don’t feel that obligation.

We’ve seen a lot of that lately from our friends on the left, a lot of it on the assumption that the good Christian folks on the right will just keep taking it.

They should be aware that Christians sometime slip, after all that’s what confession is for. So I’d be wary of pushing people to that point.

Nobody is going to convince me that all of the “don’t get together for Christmas” and “Cancel Christmas” for your own safety is about the virus.

As Don Surber noted: ” WHO didn’t tell the Saudis to call off the Hajj.”

Most of what the left does frankly is all about hatred of Christianity so I don’t see why this would be any different.

Speaking of tactics to hamper Christians the New DC Vaccine Passport rules go into effect two days before the March for Life.

I think with hundreds of thousands of people there it will be tough to enforce such rules but I don’t see the correlation between Christianity and not getting the vaccine, except for the fact that many Christians are able to get a religious exemption, but then again so can any other religion.

Plus I wouldn’t be surprised if more than a few non-religious suddenly found religion when looking for an exemption. After all during prohibition a lot of folks suddenly starting going to mass to receive the cup.

Finally I see the the group pushing trans priests in the Lutheran Church has suspended the 1st openly trans Lutheran Bishop over unspecified: “harm done by the Sierra Pacific Synod Council and Bishop Rohrer to the Latinx community in Stockton, CA.”

Of course some Spanish speaking people might consider the term “latinx” harmful in itself but it just goes to show you that wokeness is an unforgiving God and no matter how high in the woke hierarchy you are, you’re always one step away from being cancelled.

Me I think they should have stuck with Christ myself.

The most interesting thing about the spate of “Salvation Army desperate for volunteers and donors” stories in the MSM is the complete lack of mention of the CRT business that caused things to implode.

CRT is the ivermectin of the Salvation Army story that which must not be named

The day the kettles 1st came out in my city I rushed to put money in. The next day the CRT story broke and I walked right by them. Within a week the kettles were gone and I haven’t seen one in the area since although my wife says they’re around..

t might be a shock to some but the Salvation Army but: “Give me money you racist” is not a great business model.

The more I think about it the more I understand why the left is still in full Trump panic mode. There were having excellent success in quietly changing cultural norms and here comes Trump acting based on reality and giving people the courage to call out falsehood.

This is why we’ve entered the age of the big lie. It is now impossible to simply coax people to their own destruction so now blunt force trauma is needed to force falsehoods down our throats.

The left will never forgive Trump for making them come out in the open and the sheep will never forgive him for forcing them to openly choose between bravery and cowardice.

The panic among the left over the popularity of Joe Biden or lack thereof is a good sign in the sense that it suggests they aren’t comfortable about their ability to steal the midterms. But it also means that a lot of the institutions that cooperated in the fraud of 2020 have an incentive to go all in to make sure they aren’t exposed.

The next three years are going to be incredibly ugly.

I see that John Cleese ended up with an ambush interview with the BBC and is unhappy about it.

He should not be shocked at the ignorance of his interviewer. “Higher Education” no longer provides people with the type of education that the Pythons enjoyed. I guess those institutions that they japed about so merrily for decades might have had some use after all.

Personally given his own social media reach I don’t see why he bothered. A few strategically placed tweets will draw his audience better than the collection of media fools anyways.

I see a group of people in NYC were arrested for not providing vaccine passports at the Cheesecake factory.

Maybe they should have told the cops there were just there to loot the place rather than eat, they might have been left alone.

I think those on the right who are celebrating the fall of the House of Cuomo both in NY & at CNN as a victory for us. I disagree, it’s not so much a victory as it is the embodiment of a basic truth of the left which is this: If you have power to aid and abet their cause of the left you will be protected by them & their media, academic and entertainment allies, but once you no longer have that power your usefulness is at an end and said protection is gone.

Cuomo’s fall, while satisfying simply means that they are no longer useful to the cause and thus are no longer guaranteed the protection or deference that the left’s institutions once provided. In fact the only protection they have is whatever knowledge they have of others on the left who have done as bad as them or worse.

Last month I was at lunch with my brothers who are both much more conservative than me (I’m practically the liberal of the group) and the subject of both Fauci & Pelosi came up.

While they despise them both with a passion they also noted that they were both very smart in the sense that while their actions have been detrimental to the nation they successfully used said actions to gain personal power, wealth and security.

These actions might be unethical, dishonest and dishonorable even to the point of being evil but given the end result for themselves were certainly not stupid, except of course in a theological sense.

Speaking of falls Charlie Baker AND Karen Politio have decided to call it quits not seeking a 3rd term as governor and Lt. Gov of Massachusetts.

There have been ups and downs. On the down side the pair are horrible on social issues, particularly abortion and their opposition to President Trump is why the left likes him as much as they do in the state. On the plus side Baker is an able and competent administrator and I suspect with some cause the reason while Massachusetts in general and Fitchburg in particular did not go the way of Kenosha or Minneapolis when BLM came calling was due to his quiet actions.

A lot of conservatives will not be sorry their gone, at least not until a completely woke Democrat gets the job and does their best to turn the state into California.

There is word that the Democrats will go all in on abortion for the midterms as the potential for SCOTUS reversing Roe seems good after oral arguments.

While I think it’s not wise to 2nd guess the court, particularly any court run by old yellowstain Justice Roberts it’s a most logical move on their part.

Of course all of this was inevitable because the future belong to those who show up and spending generation killing off your potential voters is not a long term plan for success.

Finally for the past month there has been a lot of speculation on dumping Kamala Harris.

I’m not buying any of it. Harris is in an elected not an appointed position and unless you have actual impeachable offenses and the willingness of the house and senate to remove her she’s not going anywhere. All this talk is just talk.

And seriously why would she resign? What is the actual gain for her? It’s not like everyone doesn’t already know how she got to where she is and frankly I don’t that there is anything hidden in her past that is more corrupt than what the Biden’s are openly doing.

Rep Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Rep Peter Meijer (R-MI) took a secret trip to Afghanistan to see for themselves the situation on the ground. This has gotten the Army, the Administration and the State Department’s knickers in an uproar. I can see why. Given the degree of the failure of the Biden Administration the last thing they want is for congress to have a clear idea of what is going out unfiltered by the administration.

There is a lot of talk about the clash between “moderates’ and “progressives” in the House over the hold up on the infrastructure and budget bills that the Biden Administration has been desperate to get passed.

The clash is not so much between “moderates” and progressives as it is between Democrats who don’t have to worry about being re-elected and Democrats who do and with the Biden Administration debacle in Afghanistan it’s going to be a lot harder to press those Democrats who aren’t anxious to be identified with the administration.

Charlie Baker through his education commissioner has reinstated a Mask mandate for schools at least until October. Charlie has made a few wrong turns on this but has generally been sane, but with an election coming up next year in a state that’s as blue as it comes I guess he’s not willing to make any fights that he doesn’t have to.

It was be nice if we had a Redder and more Trump like governor, but until we focus on educating the public in this state Mr. Baker is likely the best we can do.

The Supreme Court rejected the Biden Administration attempt to block a lower court can not block a lower court ruling re-instating the Trump “Return to Mexico” policy.

This is ironically the same method that was used to force the DACA policy on the Trump administration.

I think that the former ruling was a bad precedent as it makes laws without lawmaking however that’s not going to change until the left starts getting burned by it.

Finally Kamala Harris in Vietnam on the anniversary of John McCain’s death put down a wreath at a war memorial celebrating the shooting down of his airplane.

Reportedly she was warned that this was not a Memorial TO McCain but celebrating him being shot down but she reportedly overruled her advisers who warned her thus. Apparently she wanted to photo op.

I’d object but as she’s owned by people who are America’s enemies and is in fact on their side I’d just as soon she not pretend otherwise.
