…I would have thought that president Obama would have waited for his 2nd opening for this one due to her radical nature and opinions.
The media will mainstream her as best as possible but i don’t see any chance of her being stopped.
Since she is replacing a reliable liberal vote I would have saved this nominee for attempts to replace a more conservative justice.
I’m wondering if due to the Gitmo issues they felt the need to make sure they made their base happy right away.
We shall see how it goes.

Worry not my friend, there are plenty of liberal activist judges out there for Obama to nominate if any of the conservative judges retire or pass on. And this was called a “bipartisan” pick since she was made a federal circuit judge under George W. Bush, a compromise pick made so he could get a vote for his supreme court nominee.
I simply presumed that he wouldn’t play it safe by using his “Hispanic” pick right off the top.
This pick whoever it was had the best chance of making it through, we are still in the Obamania stage of this presidency. Maybe he figured she was too radical for a later spot, a bolder political move would have been to hold the “Hispanic” pick till that point.
