My latest article for the Examiner Breakfast without Tea is now up at Examiner.com

The topic is the Tysinger breakfast about which I have a standard post coming up about 7 p.m. tonight.

As always my examiner articles as a group are available here and considering the inauspicious start to the Am I worth as much as Andrew Sullivan drive every penny generating hit you can give is most appreciated.

actually two class acts one them from the Ump and the other from the Pitcher.

The pitcher Armando Galarraga when the call was blown didn’t explode, didn’t make a giant fuss, pointed out that we are all human.

The umpire Jim Joyce admitted his mistake, showed regret and remorse.

If pols showed this much sense then their mistakes would not be as fatal.

And as for those who are so outraged I’m with Chris Murphy, get over it.

Why should you consider kicking and and asking friends to do so in my Am I worth half as much as Andrew Sullivan Fundraiser? Reporting:

Yesterday’s posts on the Newsmakers forum were A great example of this. Take a look at the initial posts and the follow-ups that went up. Those involved speaking to the principles and their reps and communications via e-mail over the course of several hours and asking questions that brought the story out. Those answers led to more question and to a story that we all saw unfold yesterday.

That kind of reporting that is possible when a person is able to blog full time, that ability to chase a story that allows it to develop as it did.

So if you liked that coverage and would like to see more of that kind of thing when a story starts to pop up, then hit DaTipJar and encourage your friends to do the same and help me move that relative value of me to Andrew Sullivan to a respectable level.

Only you can set the relative value

I have a little talk with Kelly Nguyen who is running for the 5th district seat currently held by John Lewis:

If Ga-4 is an uphill race Ga-5 is a mountain but you don’t climb a mountain without trying. Putting up a fight makes a huge difference, anything can happen in a campaign and if you aren’t running then you can’t take advantage of it. This is a lesson that republicans need to learn. It’s also not a bad idea to have young energetic candidates learning the ropes in a campaign.
