Here comes the future

With Mary Ann Glendon out of the picture I think the choice of a substitute speaker is a bad choice, if you are going to go with the president, you should have someone who complements him. Cassy Fiano has found the lady:

Of course, leave it to a rabid pro-abortionist like Jessica Ferrar to see otherwise. She’s a Texas state representative, recently honored by Planned Parenthood and the proud owner of a 100% NARAL approval rating.

Hey that’s Obama too it’s a match:

She’s currently trying to force through a bill that would make Catholic hospitals be required to dispense the morning-after pill.

Sounds like the freedom of choice act, right in his wheelhouse:

Her latest bright idea? To decriminalize infanticide. Introducing Texas HB 3318, the first of its kind in the entire country, known as “the infanticide bill”. It defines infanticide as:

A person commits an offense if the person wilfully by an act or omission causes the death of a child to whom the person gave birth within the 12-month period preceding the child’s death

The bill says that infanticide should not be prosecuted as murder, though, as long as:

… at the time of the act or omission, the person’s judgment was impaired as a result of the effects of giving birth or the effects of lactation following the birth.

Infanticide would become a felony, punishable by no more than two years in prison, with a minimum of 180 days, and/or a fine of no more than $10,000.

That sounds odd but consider that in Texas…

This bill was passed by the Texas State Criminal Jurisprudence Committee 7 to 1 on April 28th

7-1 hey that’s where the votes are so Fr Jenkins can use her to have a conversation. And she’s Catholic!

Via gateway pundit.

And before you pooh pooh this stuff consider how unthinkable legal abortion was at the start of the 20th century. This bill advanced on a 7-1 vote. it will likely lose the next one this time but it will come up again and again and again, and when it finally wins, it will be called “groundbreaking”.

Think of how divorce, homosexual behavior, euthanasia, adultery and assisted suicide have all become accepted and even celebrated by society over the last 60 years, particularly among the elite. What do all these things have in common other than sin?

Narcissism. It’s all about me. What I want, my needs, they are more important than anything else. Remove God from the picture in a generation or two Man becomes his own God. Man’s will be done!

This is the future, and the person trying to fight it will be “intolerant” and rejected. You say hey even non religious people will see this as wrong. Remember slavery was accepted as a fact of life for ten thousand years until a British Christian Named William Wilberforce pushed a government tirelessly. And this was in a society that harbored contempt and ridicule and stigmatization for religious enthusiasm. The elites or “polite society” considered it a transgression to believe and practice. Sound familiar?

I think this is the path we are going on, I think we will do so until we find our own Wilberforce and the worm turns again. I unfortunately don’t think it will happen in my lifetime…

…but we will fight anyway. As Joshua said:

If it does not please you to serve the LORD, decide today whom you will serve…As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Joshua 24:15

You’ve got the rest of your life to make up your mind…after that you’re on your own.
