I had really thought that interview went well…

…and at its conclusion they asked for references to be e-mailed so they must have liked what they saw, but apparently they must have talked to someone they liked better since I just got an e-mail rejection.

At least the rejection wasn’t generic but that’s frankly small comfort.

Don’t really know what else to say.

…so can someone tell me how they can go sour on her?

This plays to Mitt (Obamacare Massachusetts style) Romney. I’d say it has his name written all over it. In my opinion the Washington establishment so despises Palin that they would gladly push Romney to avoid a chance of a Palin victory in 2012.

They also are aware that Romney’s stint as Governor in Massachusetts was without any real achievement, and furthermore didn’t involve standing for any principle even remotely conservative. (Of course compared to those who ran against or followed him he was practically a Reaganite.) They understand his legacy is Obamacare lite, and a Romney presidency will be a republican version of business as usual.

They can handle that after all with apologies to Grover Cleveland; A republican insider is just as indifferent to the people as democratic one.

…by featuring Mike Allen’s “Scoop” concerning Sarah Palin that she actually wrote all about in her book months ago.

After a long segment pushing this scoop. Willie gives one sentence as Allen fades acknowledging that Palin already wrote about these things.

I guess they are trying to cover themselves a-la Luke in Yes Prime Minister buried in a 189 page report on one paragraph on page 107.

Why do I get the feeling that someone in the place saw the instapundit link this morning just before it was broadcast and fed Willie that fact about the book just in time to cover him?

You know there is a reason why MSNBC is in last place, it’s stuff like this.

Today I’m going to be meeting a friend of mine at the local coffee shop for lunch. They have first rate fish so it will be hopping a bit.

After lunch I’ll hit Romano’s to pick up something to cook for supper.

It is a great opportunity to make an experiment, I’m going to bring up the Brown Race and see what people say.

Let’s see if there is any excitement. His abortion stance certainly doesn’t excite me

…but the Boston Phoenix must be actually scared because they are trying to paint him as anti-abortion…I wish.

Update: The Right Wing Gaming room left a comment on my earlier post concerning the subject. He lives in a different part of the state so It will be very interesting to see if he is hearing different things than I am. How about it fellow gamer, what are you hearing up in the Northeast corner of the state?
