apparently didn’t take my advice about hands and knees and kitchen floors on Mother’s Day:

Momlogic has exclusively learned that 31,427 women signed up for AshleyMadison.com yesterday — which is over ten times the average number of women who typically sign up on any given Monday.

That’s the dating (cheating) site for married people.

Guys a piece of advice, do without one beer a week and buy some flowers. Do it regularly. Just one beer guys, that’s all it takes.

And next year hands, knees and kitchen floor.

Update: Mentioned this to the wife this morning her mouth said: “I don’t approve of cheating.” Her face said: “Serves then right.”

  1. Ditto DaTechWife.

Interestingly, AshleyMadison said that their top three sign-up days for women are 15 February, the day after Mother’s Day, and 02 January. (I imagine that the day after women’s birthdays is evenly distributed throughout the year.)

I’ve learned (the hard way) that men who don’t take the time to celebrate birthdays, Valentine’s Day, etc. are just taking you for granted, don’t care about the relationship, or both. (Obviously, men who celebrate those with aplomb aren’t necessarily into a relationship: See, WhatHisName, formerly known as The Nice Young Man.) At the very least, men should be well-aware that ignoring special occasions is not a “guy thing”; it’s a gigantic red flag.

  2. You need both, in fact. :)

As for men: one would think that breakfast in bed, flowers, and a pressie on Mother’s Day – even for 50 years – would be a small price to pay for not having to gestate one’s children, nor deliver them.
