McCain/Johnson Round 3

Round 3 Johnson dances hitting the tea party protests magnifying the 1% crazy uncles.

Robert Stacy comes out snarking:

Patrick Swayze died before having the honor of being banned from LGF

That lands but Smitty’s snark misses weakly.

And then counters with a big one two combo in the same post:

Given the self-evident megalomania of Mad King Charles, no defense should be necessary. His one-man campaign to banish the entire blogosphere will soon end in a bunker beneath the bombed-out rubble of his Reich Chancellery. Nevertheless, I am grateful to so many good bloggers who’ve rallied unbidden to my defense

He mentions Pirates cove among others, but Teach is wrong it’s not BDS if it’s anything it’s Sullivan’s syndrome.

The second punch is with a feather but lands like a brick.

The secret to fighting a smear? Simple: Get right with God. All your sins are known by the ultimate investigative Journalist.

If you are unfairly accused, you are certainly not the first such case, nor the most important Victim in history. You have no right to complain, because even if you are innocent of the specific charge against you, you are not sinless and righteous…

…Hate is against my religion, and I am commanded to pray for my enemies. This is arguably the most difficult commandment, you see. “Thou shalt not” this, that and the other — relatively easy, compared to praying for Charles Johnson.

I give this Round to McCain. I score it 29-29 after 3.

——————-

A personal observation

When you have people willing to go on the firing line to defend you that is HUGE, I can personally say it gives you that George Baily feeling:

Right now That is Robert Stacy McCain, the richest man in the Blogosphere.

Update: The snark jabs keep landing they demonstrate why people pay money for Robert Stacy McCain columns, but don’t pay money for Robert Stacy McCain Bikini photos.

BTW the answer to the question in that post so far is 5 hits in an hour for using the phrase Hannah Giles Bikini photos. None for Mika Brzezinski bikini photos which shows that some people just don’t have eyes or don’t appreciate intelligent liberal women.

Update 2: Is this an oblique reference to this fight?

Update 3: Gateway pundit remembers the good old days.

Update 4: McCain throws another right via Founding Bloggers but he is grazed by it as well, Then another blow that one’s a doozy, Johnson doesn’t seem to notice but isn’t counter punching.

How do you know the Acorn story is getting Big? MSNBC (well morning joe) decided to cover it. They played clips of the films and beat their breasts over not covering the story.

It was the 6 o’clock hour but but with yesterday’s Morning Meeting it was a start.

The question is would it have been covered if it hadn’t been for the Senate vote? And would that vote have every happened if it wasn’t for “Those Damn Pictures?” I suspect that senators wouldn’t have been in such a hurry to change votes if it wasn’t for the video:

More and more Democrats signed onto the amendment, and votes started changing. One male voice could be heard in the chamber saying, “I want to change my vote!” Among those who changed their votes: Tom Udall (D-NM), Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ), and Herb Kohl (D-WI).

Rats off a sinking ship. Thomas Nast apparently lives and post regularly at Big Government and the Machine had best beware.

Update: He brings it up in hour two and Chuck Todd pooh pooh Van Jones as a minor player. Joe is having none of it and promises to bring it up again on the radio with Todd.

Update 2: Charlie Gibson will need another Palin interview to recover from this.

Update 3:
Welcome Michelle Malkin readers, take a look around, Get details on the Robert Stacy McCain/Charles Johnson brawl and why McCain is the richest man in the blogosphere, Discover the 1% rule, find why President Obama gets two thumbs up and will never send troops against tea party protesters, if Hannah Giles Bikini photos will get you a bunch of hits on your blog and read my reviews of Michelle’s Culture of Corruption and Newt’s latest novel due out next month.

Update 4: Michele gives Norah O’Donnell a history lesson.

Update 5: Oh that explains it. Michelle Malkin’s top story was linked directly by Rush and My link is the first trackback on her page. No wonder my hits are through the roof. So welcome fellow dittoheads take a look around. If you are football fans take a peek at my review of That First Season: How Vince Lombardi Took the Worst Team in the NFL and Set It on the Path to Glory due out October 15th. See when the worm started to Turn on the President months ago. Find the purpose of his speech last week, Discover why Sarah Palin is “She who must not be quoted” and is also the next Ted Kennedy (in a good way), discover why a death panel is actually Council guidance and see what candidate the people who brought you Tom Ridge is thinking of (don’t be drinking when you click on the link) and have you heard this one? It’s a Killer!

Oh I tend to be an early riser and I’m one of those rare Massachusetts conservatives so check back tomorrow for some links and commentary. Oh and if you need remote computer tech support I’m your man and can fix your machine right from where I sit.

…but I stayed up late since the wife took the youngest to the ER (turns out it wasn’t what she thought but no harm in being sure. Why does he always get the worst sick on Sunday nights?)

So I only caught the last 45 min of his show, no word on the march. So this morning I tuned in to the radio show for the first 20 min. Lots of stuff about what Repubicans should do, More Joe Wilson and Kanye West not a peep about the march, not even as something coming up later and I listened to see about what was coming up later.

The real question is this: Will the congress believe the Sgt. Schultz media or their own eyes?

The problem with the I know nuuuuthing plan is that all of those people have neighbors and co-workers. Protesting is not the way they earn their living so this will all become water cooler talk all over the country.

That more than anything else is going to kill the MSM, it’s one thing to hear stuff from the net and discount it, it’s another to hear it from a neighbor that was there.

A basic truth

RS McCain mentions a basic truth during his fight with Johnson that accidently captures the net in a nutshell:

Regular mainstream politics, where phony Democratic hacks do battle with sold-out Republican frauds, tends to become tedious, and yet there are scores of reporters in Washington who masochistically crave the privilege of covering such pointless snoozefests. The reporter who can locate something newsworthy on the oft-ignored fringe of the political spectrum has got a much better chance of scoring an exclusive — and, frankly, it’s a lot more interesting.

Also, I like crazy people. God help me, but I do love a kook. (Ask any journalist who covered last year’s Libertarian Party convention what a target-rich environment that was for kook-lovers.) As long as they are not actually dangerous, the wackos and zanies are so much more fun than the uptight Republicans and dishonest Democrats one usually meets in Washington.

If you look at what non-political videos go virual this would seem very true, the weird stuff is a lot more fun to watch.
