…than a weekday vote. A large amount of the public were able to see what happened and had the time to see the online reaction of pro-life group etc and the rather incredible statement by Stupak.
It will be very hard to spin what people saw with their own eyes. A really foolish move politically.
This fall it isn’t going to be close.

I have to disagree with you. The calendar says still says March and the elections aren’t until November. If over the next 8 months Conservatives and Republicans are campaigning on repealing the health care law, while the Democrats and Liberals are focusing on jobs, the economy, and energy policy, there won’t be a major conservative landslide on election day.
Zero republican votes to pass health care reform, that’s not going to help them win votes especially, over the next 7 months, when voters soon realize the immediate benefits to their health care situations.
If you really think the democrats will be able to scrub this before November well I’d like an order of what he’s drinking.
People have short attention spans. There’s still March Madness, baseball season, hockey and basketball playoffs, summer vacations, Fourth of July, etc. Not to mention anything that happens to a celebrity in the upcoming months.
Who is going to be thinking about an enacted health care law?
That’s yesterday’s news.
Keep telling yourself this for the rest of the year. Even my wife says she will remember this and you know how she doesn’t give a damn about politics.
