My review of the Volume Where did Jesus Die by J. D. Shams is available at Amazon.com here
This is written from the perspective of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and was given to be to read by the Imam of the local Mosque. It would appear to be long out of print.

Once again, I am mighty pleased that datechguy words his comments (in the review and on his blog) in an amiable manner whenever he speaks of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. We need to see more such examples of civility in religious discourse.
The author of the reviewed book, in my opinion, took pains to seek out dependable references while trying to establish the veracity of his thesis, that being that Jesus died in Kashmir. If datechguy sees weaknesses in the references and arguments, it would advance the cause of healthy intellectual debate if he could point out specific statements and inferences. BTW, much helpful info can be obtaned from alislam.org.
Peace to all seekers of truth!
Some quick examples of weak arguments:
The author alternately quotes and discourages the use of Christian Scripture to back up his case picking and choosing.
the argument about Christ dying after a short time forgets the scourging and beating of Christ before the Crucifixion,.
The statement that the Bible was writing at a time when Christianity was the majority is simply incorrect. Particularly the letters of Paul and early Gospels.
As for my respect your this particular branch of Islam, Respect is something earned. All I’ve read and seen thus far about your particular branch of Islam deserves respect. It reflects a faith sure enough about itself that it doesn’t need the violence of radical Islam to defend or support itself.
Of course my respect will not make friends for you within the mainstream of your faith, but you have it nevertheless.
My best to you during this Ramadan season.
