Says who Joe?
In America it is growing, in Africa and Asia it is growing by leaps and bounds.
You know Joe why don’t you come to my church in Fitchburg. I know the city demographics cost us a few but our church was growing when others were failing, and continues to grow.
Why, because we are a “big C” Catholic church. Our School’s enrollment continues to rise and thinks continue to be exciting here.
Ah Joe, the first step to truly being informed is to put down that New York Times.

This past Easter our parish was filled to capacity at each Mass. Granted, many of the attendees were C&E Catholics (Christmas & Easter only) and family of newly baptized Catholics, BUT… this was another encouraging sign. In recent days, I’ve seen many, like me, who are returning to their Catholic roots and spreading the word.
The spiritual journey is where we are nourished. The rest is just noise.
