Apparently a federal Judge decided these people were safe enough to let go before trial:

“The United States is correct that it need not wait until people are killed before it arrests conspirators,” US District Judge Victoria Roberts said in her ruling.

“But, the defendants are also correct: Their right to engage in hate-filled, venomous speech, is a right that deserves First Amendment protection.”

She said federal prosecutors failed to persuade her that the defendants must be jailed until trial, the Detroit Free News reports.

Why did the judge come to this conclusion? Might have been something to do with this:

An FBI agent who led the investigation of nine Michigan militia members charged with trying to launch war against the federal government couldn’t recall many details of the two-year probe yesterday during questioning by defense lawyers.

Even the judge who must decide whether to release the nine until trial was puzzled.

“I share the frustrations of the defense team … that she doesn’t know anything,” U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said after agent Leslie Larsen confessed she hadn’t reviewed her notes recently and couldn’t remember specific details of the case.

It will be interesting to see how this comes out and to contrast the arrest and restrictions on these people while Younus Abdullah Muhammad remains free.

I see two different batches of creeps here yet one is in jail and one is not. Funny old thing isn’t it?

After 30 minutes of telling us what a good job Law Enforcement did to protect us, Morning Joe brings on Raza Aslan author of Beyond Fundamentalism to call this a “criminal” act and not part of any kind of war and David Sanger downplaying any foreign connection.

Apparently that is the new narrative. Lone wolf, no connection, amateur act, nothing to see here.

It is much easier than to admit something might be up with Islam.

If the left wonders why they they aren’t taken seriously it’s stuff like this.

Poor media, Poor Cair…

I’m afraid it is going to be impossible to blame this on the Flemish Menace:

A U.S. citizen from Pakistan accused of driving a bomb-laden SUV into Times Square and parking it on a street lined with restaurants and Broadway theaters was to appear in court Tuesday to face charges for his failed attempt to set off a massive fireball and kill Americans, federal authorities said.

The suspect, Faisal Shahzad, was taken into custody late Monday by FBI agents and New York Police Department detectives while trying to leave the country, according to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and other officials. He was identified by customs agents at John F. Kennedy International Airport and was stopped before boarding a flight to Dubai, Holder said early Tuesday in Washington, D.C.

Shahzad is a naturalized U.S. citizen and had recently returned from a five-month trip to Pakistan, where he had a wife, according to law enforcement officials who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation into the failed car bombing.

Sue Madrak and Mayor Bloomberg not withstanding I don’t think his main concern was the healthcare bill nor a member of any tea party.

As for the people who delivered the South Park “commentary” he has more “commentary” on the subject:

Younus Abdullah Muhammad, author of RevolutionMuslim.com, told WND senior reporter Aaron Klein on New York’s WABC Radio that America should “absolutely” expect more jihadi violence in New York City.

When asked if the Times Square attack was aimed at the offices of nearby Viacom, which owns the “South Park” series, Abdullah Muhammad deflected the question to condemn U.S. foreign policy instead.

“It was a retaliation for what your government is doing overseas,” Abdullah Muhammad said. “If you want to continue killing civilians, then you’re going to get many incidents that resemble what happened yesterday.”

I wonder what our friend Sue has to say about that?

Nope nothing to see here. Nothing to do with radical Islam. Gotta be racist to suggest it.

It would be in the headline rotation of ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, Headline News, PBS and BET.

But it is instead the lionized “immigration” marches so it will not make the news:

Close to 20 businesses were damaged after what started as a peaceful immigrants’ rights march in downtown Santa Cruz turned violent, requiring police to call other agencies for help, authorities said.

Police spokesman Zach Friend said an estimated 250 people started marching through the city around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

It was a harmonious but “unpermitted and unsanctioned event,” he said, until some in the crowd started breaking windows and spraying paint on retail shops that line the downtown corridor.

In other words the crowd was peaceful until it wasn’t.

We hear the left telling us how dangerous Tea Party members are, what will they say about their own?

I think it would be very interesting to call up congressmen who commented on the dangers of the tea party rallies to see what they have to say about events in Santa Cruz.
